this is such an odd question but has anyone ever tried to analyze nigel’s bullet injury? i’m no medical or anatomy expert, but a cheek (or lower jaw) shot specifically is not automatically fatal if the bullet path avoids the brainstem, major arteries, and upper brain — but at zero distance (which is what happened in the movie) the damage is usually much worse because of gas pressure and fragmentation from the contact shot.
ahem, this of course, would cause a major destruction to the structure of someone's facial feature and skull. so can you imagine how horrifying it must be for alex to see nigel's rather angelic face morphing into such a gruesome view.. i mean not like it's a sight he hasn't seen yet!
