When you search the f word on Naver right now there are about 70 million articles about Zico using the f-word and how it’s a homophobic slur which demonstrates that it’s pretty much common knowledge that the term is a slur. The bigger part of it is though, while yes, Korea is very homophobic as a society, the term itself doesn’t translate well to Korean due to the lack of an F sound in the Korean language and isn’t used a lot but when Americans use it, queer people know

It’s a term that pretty much every Korean LGBTQ person recognizes and understands is a slur even if it isn’t used much in Korea. That should be enough for ya’ll westerners and motherfuckers who don’t really know what you’re talking about to stop using this anonymous “I’m a Korean” comment to justify dismissing some bullshit that your favorite idol pulled

But even more so, due to the reasons mentioned above the word isn’t really used much in Korean hip hop either so the statement that many Korean hip hop rappers have used this word is pretty much a lie that can be verified through combing through lyrics of Korean hip hop artists. This word is not used in that context and this comment is straight up making shit up. The only time I can pull of the top of my head of that word being used is Dok2 and it’s used in an extremely homophobic context (“yeah i’m straight fools fuckin homo f****t allergy”)

Also, it’s also untrue most Koreans would hear that as f-bitch. Like come on, we have English education from preschool now like we know that a random letter in front of a word usually doesn’t make sense. 

Also the reason none of this makes sense in the first place is because Zico fucking studied in Canada. He’s lived in a country where he could easily gauge the context and the history and the power behind this word. 

So yeah, this is bullshit. This makes no fucking sense. Fuck all the non-Koreans cosigning this bullshit, fuck all the Koreans cosigning this bullshit.
