Part Three! I think this is my best comic yet :) I had such a blast designing the Skettler, she's pretty simple as far as monsters go, but I certainly wouldn't want to piss her off lol

The only disapointment I have with this part is that the shadows looked slightly less dark in the first page on my tablet, but on other devices they really drown out some of the pose work I did, like BK kneeling, but other than that I am really proud of it!

also i just noticed i missed the blue tint on page two and three so page one looks way bluer than the rest cruddo

it's crazy to see my style/skill evolving through the first pages of the first the gobbo parts (i actually love the first page i think it's kinda gorgeous like i don't even know how i did that, the second page i like but don't love, and the third page i'm really proud of i really like how it turned out) sneak peak of part 3 which posts in less than an hour!

Hello, this is my comic, Kit Bash

it's about a robot or android or cyborg or something who fell asleep watching anime and missed the apocalypse. It is heavily referential but hopefully not too much, will contain violence and bad language, girls with swords, gnomes, moose, idiots, and if all goes well a good story that will make you cry and laugh and send me angry letters.

the entirety of the first chapter is available HERE but you can also see it for free across my various socials in little chunks like this as I release them bit by bit.

The first two pages of part three are fully inked and I'm started on the third! Definitely a little slower this issue, but I'm still hopeful about meeting my Wednesday evening deadline! Here's a sneak peak at my favorite panels so far (REALLY HAPPY WITH THE LIZARD MONSTER, this is my first time trying my hand at creature design, this is just a sneak peak of her but I'm really excited for the full reveal)

I also love drawing Gobbo's terrifying teeth, still mailing down exactly how monstrous they should look I'm partial to the teeth on the right but they might be a little much for a goblin, more like orc teeth

Campfire Tales

Gobbo treats Black Knight to some of his legendary campfire tales beneath the full moon.

As part of my learning journey, I'm going to start doing timed illustrations as a way of tracking my progress! I wanted to start small, so this was a two hour illustration, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out! I really like the shadow work (even though the light from the full moon isn't fully accounted for as much as I would like) and I also really like the figures! I've never drawn them from this angle before, and I kind of just went for it and I think it turned out really good!

Yesterday, I finished inking the rest of the panels for the monday short, and today I finished them! Since Cyan has been the main character of these shorts, I decided it made sense to call them Cyan Shorts instead of Gobbo Shorts, so I've gone back and changed that! so now every character could have their own volume of shorts which I really like! here is a sneak peak of the next cyan short coming out on monday!

also, i finished the first draft of my short story, and I really like it! i can't wait to share it with y'all, but here's a sneak peak while we wait!

Spent a few more hours at the library today! Really can't recommend doing that enough: did some reading and got some work done on Gobbo Short #4!

I think I'm going to draw each of the panels on their own page going forward, I think it'll be better for clarity, here's a sneak peak of the flats for panel one and the sketch for panel three!

Ended up checking out way more books than last time 😅

Still working through the Kirby book, but really excited for the rest of the haul. I finished Way of the House Husband vol 2 at the library, and I think I'll bring vol 3 to read during my breaks - lmk if you've read any of these or if you have recommendations!

Also got a lot of good work done on the proof of concept short story I mentioned before!
