#TBT Wishing a warm and wonderful #bonanniversaire to my Golma (Goh-Mah)she turned 90 years old yesterday October 8th! Born in the DR to Haitian parents her first language was Spanish... raised in Haiti 🇭🇹 she also speaks Kreyol and a little French... and throughout her ~45-50 years here in the US she has spoken to me the most familiar and lovely form of broken English I know 🥰... most of all she speaks to me in LOVE! I am her first Grandchild and i got all the Love 💗. Memories of tasty food and bitter remedies; warm hugs and stern but gentle scoldings; and so much more!... contributed to the man i am today. My Golma birthed 7 children(🗣@nicolasalmonor) and raised quite a few more into this world and in this country through tumultuous times and many joyous occasions. She is a woman of faith and a testament of the fortitude, grace, and divinity women #BlackGirlMagic exercise in this world.
