“—– Excuse me? ….What do you want?”

“I-- I’m just asking if you need anything? That’s what I want. Is that bad? Why are you being so suspicious.”

The guy’s caring and persistence jumped Posey into a panic mode to fight him off of her. “I’m fine.” The dark fae insisted, trying to fight the urge to physically hurt him for calling her scared. “I am not cold, I am okay and what makes you think you can just waltz over here and help? I do not need your help.”

A frown came upon Nicks face. “Uh-- what made me think I could just come over and help? I didn’t know I wasn’t allowed to.. you looked lost and like you were in need of something. God, I’m just trying to be nice but you’re really making it god damn hard.”

“Rough day? Do you need some coffee? I can make some if you want. Or you could take a hot shower, that usually helps me.. I’m not saying you smell.”

She tucked her legs closer, wrapping her arms just below her knees. Her face was only a little sweaty, but the fae soon convinced herself it was because of the crowded bodies this room was filled with. Posey refused to properly acknowledge the slight shake of her hands, because she was not afraid of hunters. It was impossible to be afraid when you did not feel fear. “Did I invite you over? Because I don’t remember sending out a formal invitation.” She muttered coldly, still capable of her cruel words in this state. Posey looked up at the person who approached and raised a brow.

Nick made his way through the people, kneeling down next to a girl in the corner of the room. “Hey.. Uh.. no, but I just wanted to check if you were okay. You look scared. Or are you cold? You’re shaking.” He mumbled with a frown. He had a habit of caring way too much and asking too many questions when he was worried. People usually hated it.

“My first day back and there’s already trouble?” The girl said as she tried to open the doors to leave the school lunch room but couldn’t. “That’s great, that’s just fucking great!” She says as she slides down with her hand in face.

“What do you mean first day back? Where were you?”

“So whats the big idea about this lockdown? Couple’a hunters trying to take us down, aren’t we stronger then them? This is complete bullshit I feel like a bird trapped in a cage.”

“You’ve got a point, we probably would be stronger. But maybe not if they have weapons. We shouldn’t risk it, don’t you think? I don’t mind though.. I don’t go out much anyway.”

Norrie nodded, “I mean turning a scarf into this bouquet?” Norrie put the smaller bouquet in her lap and then placed her hands behind her back and sighed, as she spoke she pulled them back out, revealing a much bigger bouquet than before. “I mean, my magic can do this. I think this is more entertaining.” Norrie smiled, holding the flowers out to show him. “Because we can easily lull them into believing we’re normal. Then bam, one day I’m flying by on my broom.”

“Agreed! That is definitely more fun than a water spraying flower. Wait those were clowns.. whatever, all the same. Real magic is so much better. Have you ever fooled anyone into thinking you’re just simply a great magician?”Nick laughed, raising an eyebrow. “You actually have a broom? Thats so cliche.” 

“Oh, you’re new here too? It’s nice to meet others who are new, just cause’ I feel lost all the time.” She’d give him a smile, slightly pushing the book towards him, “Uh.. Kind of lame but, it’s called ‘The Beast Within’. It shows the beasts side from the Disney classic, Beauty and the beast.. I know, I know, lame. But it’s quite interesting to see what he’s gone through and how he ended up the way he was.” And there she goes, rambling on.

Nick chuckled, nodding in agreement. “Yeah, I feel the same way. It’s always a good feeling knowing you’re not the only one not knowing where to go or what to do.” He glanced down at the book she pushed towards him, reading the title out loud after she did. “Lame? Why would it be? I love that movie honestly. And that sounds really interesting actually. Do you mind telling me why he ended up the way he was?” He grinned, leaning back as he watched her.

“My point, curly, is that I don’t need any fucking help. I swear if you offer one more time I will rip you vocal chords out with my teeth.”

“Alright, chill out. You could just easily have said that and I would understand. And you best believe I can still annoy you without my vocal chords.”
