Summary : Y/N and Remus were one of the best couples of Hogwarts . Y/N was simply caring for Remus after his tough days for years now , but Remus realised how she was missing out on things because of him and decided to put an end to that..and them . (I messed up with the summary clearly lol)

"Boys , we need to talk about something .." Remus told this for the fifth time that night . The boys were too busy in their own world . But Peter replied this time "What is it , Moony?" He ate his chocolate frog with it . Remus saddened a bit and spoke "Please listen James and Sirius , it's about Y/N/N" At this , they both looked up from their work and spoke "huh?" . Remus huffed and spoke "She's- I mean .. okay , we all know how she is , correct ? Kind-" , Sirius continued "Gorgeous and Smart-" James followed "Caring , ambitious !" Peter spoke in his tiny voice "Friendly and independent" . Remus smiled a bit and continued "Yes. But nowadays ,don't you think she's changed , a lot? First , she used skip classes for me , then she began skipping dinners too , she stopped spending time with her friends so that she could take care of me . Her marks have been deteriorating , her social life is not so good and her health is also not that impressive . This all was still okay with me because I used to take care of these things when I used to get fine , but soon , Y/N/N exited from the Quidditch team . One of the best chasers , the girl who loved Quidditch , aspired to become a Quidditch player , had left Quidditch . For me , her boyfriend . I feel very guilty and bad . But moreover , I feel sad . You see , I tried to convince Y/N/N to get back in the quidditch team and so did James , but she didn't listen a word . Y/N/N is so immersed in me that she has forgotten about her own ambition , her dreams , life , friends and even choices . I don't want this to happen to Y/N/N . Ive always admired how ambitious Y/N/N was , but I had never expected that she'd do this . All , she did just so that she could properly take care and spend time with me . I also feel bad for not sacrificing anything , while Y/N/N was being so giving and taking nothing . I don't want to make Y/N/N revolve her life around me , I want her to live her life , want her to be what she wants to, live her life . She was so independent and now , she wouldn't even move an inch if I didn't want her to . She's missing out on so many things , for me .. you know , I've tried to push her , to tell her to go to her friends , enjoy her life , play quidditch , bit she doesn't listen .. leaving me only to one option now .." He ended his long speech about Y/N but all he could see was confusion on his friend's faces . "What are you exactly pointing at , Moony?" Sirius questioned , scurrying through the notes in his hand to read for the class test tomorrow as Remus forced him to , while listening . "I'm breaking up with Y/N " as soon as Remus spoke this , everyone shot their heads in his direction . "What?!" They all synced . "Yes , you heard how she's changed , not for the good ..I don't want to do this to her .." Remus declared . James tried to defend his close friend , but found nothing to say because Remus was correct . Completely. Y/N had been doing that for long time now . And he was pretty sure if he would tell this to her , she'd deny it and not understand . As the night proceeded their dormitory went quieter than usual ..

Few days later —

Hearing Remus say what he did , her heart stopped beating for a milli second , but her eyes went wide and hands went cold . She continued to walked towards the sloppy figure and spoke "This is a- a joke or a prank , isn't it , Remus ?" Y/N asked , the books trembling in her hands . "No it's not , Y/N" Remus replied , casually writing his homework on the parchment , acting as if he was telling her about one of their pranks . "Remus , i-i know , you're lying , aren't you? I'm not falling for your prank" Y/N spoke , as she did always before literally falling for his pranks , kept the books on the Gryffindor table a bit loudly , echoing in the empty great hall , which just had Remus and Y/N in it . Ofcourse , you can't expect anyone to be in the Great Hall , when there was a Quidditch match going on between Gryffindor and Slytherin . But Y/N was , and so was Remus because of the full moon night which was yesterday . Remus was tired and so , decided to rather do his homework. Y/N had decided to serve him until he recovers , but what Remus told her , broke her heart into millions of tiny pieces . "No Y/N , neither am I lying , nor is this a prank" Remus spoke in a laid-back way . He used her name , for the third time in that conversation . Y/N . He never used that , not even in their friendship , let alone their beautiful two years relationship . "Remus , pl-please . Please don't do this !" Y/N cried in front of him , literally throwing herself on the seat in front of her . She expected Remus to look up with mischievous eyes and smirk and tease her about how she fell for his prank , but he didn't . He didn't even look up from his parchment . Y/N was snivelling with a sad and shocked look on her face , but Remus acted as if he couldn't care less . "Remus ! Look at me ! Right now !" She yelled in her slight scratchy and heavy voice . Remus raised his eyebrows with his head and spoke "What?" His tone was so cold , complete opposite of his happy voice , full of life and love for her . "Remus , please my dear , please , don't . Don't breakup with me ! Is there something wrong that I did ? Is there something that troubles you about me ? I'm ready to change it Remus ! But please- please , don't .. do .. this" her sobs became uncontrollable at the end . Remus huffed and spoke "Y/N , there's nothing wrong with you. It's just that , I lost interest . You seem a boring to me now , it's a natural thing Y/N . No one can control this . Even if you change , my attraction will not . I'm really sorry , but I don't love you anymore and I can't keep going in a relationship where there's no love from my side ." Y/N broke into another fit of weeps on hearing this , but spoke in her broken voice "Remus , you say you loved me ? Do you stop loving someone so easily ?Is this what you call love , Remus?" Y/N questioned him , she couldn't bare that nothing could be done to improve the situation . As much as Remus wanted to tell her that he never stopped loving her , he stopped himself . Controlling his emotions which were on the edge , he spoke in an easy way "Maybe , this wasn't love . Maybe .. it was .. " Muttering the last part as lowly as he could , he spoke the rest of the line it as if he was thinking , as if the break up wasn't effecting him at all . But it was , it felt like someone stabbing him in the chest continuously. He wanted to cry , wanted to hold his Y/N/N in his arms , do anything but this break up . But he build a strong wall , blocking his desires with it . Y/N used her senses because she had thought of this kinda thing long time back that maybe , Remus was breaking up with her just because he was werewolf . Just because he didn't want her to be in trouble .

Trying her luck , she asked quietly "Are you doing this because of the reason that you're a Werewolf ? Is the reason related to this , Remus? Or is it one of your low days ? Are you doing this ... For me ?" . Remus froze for a milli second . He was , yes . He was doing this for her . "No I'm not " he spoke , taking a shaky breath in , it hurt him so much , but he knew he had to do this . "You can't fool me . I know you won't tell the truth , but others will . I'll ask them . " Y/N spoke with a contended tone . But Remus knew that Y/N's hopes were just going to be crushed ...

An hour later —

Remus was still sitting on his place , but his work was done and now , he was reading a book . Keeping the book aside to see James , Sirius and little Peter walk in , followed by a bunch of crowd behind them , cheering . Ofcourse , James and Gryffindor must've won. He smiled at them as they took the seats and the crowd disappeared , but before he could speak anything else , he saw Y/N entering from the big door , looking around of something- or someone to be specific .Once her eyes met Remus , she immediately shifted her eyes to the black haired boy , James , who was one of her closest friends . She happily walked over to James , who was eating his food after a tough match . Ruffling his hair as James liked it , she sat down beside him and spoke "So , James ! Congratulations ! " . James smiled . Peter replied "The match would've been easy if you would've been a part of the team , Y/N/N ." Y/N sniggered at it and spoke in a teasing tone "Ofcourse , I'm the most desirable Quidditch player after all , am I not ? James?" She smirked at James , who spoke , wearing his over-confident smug look "Oh c'mon Y/N/N . You know that's me ". Y/N laughed at it and came straight to the point "Guys , Remus is literally breaking up with me .. I'm pretty sure it's a prank or he's jut doing this because he's going through his low days in which he usually wonders that he doesn't deserve us " . All the Marauders stopped doing what they were doing and looked at Remus , who gave a slight nod , indicating they should do what they had talked about a few nights ago . Sirius was the first one to clear his throat and speak "Um..Y/N . That's true . We all knew that he was going to .. you know-" he couldn't speak further . Lying to his close friend , especially someone as kind as Y/N was tougher than the word . Y/N gave out a timid , weak and bit broken laugh "You all are into this prank , I can't believe this" she spoke , smiling at them . But her eyes were begging to James and Peter to tell her that what Sirius told was a lie or a prank . But they didn't . They weren't even able to make an eye contact with her , ashamed of themselves . Y/N gave out a shuddered breath , rubbing her cold fingers on her chin and lips , her face paler than a white owl . She slowly got up , her eyes brimming with tears . She looked down at the boys and spoke "I hate you all .. all of you . No one stopped Remus ? He simply fell out of love and none of you asked him about it ? None out of you stood up against his decision ? For me? Not even you , James ? Ridiculous ! " She got of the seat and walked away , pushing anyone and everyone out of her way . Stomping her foot on the ground as hard as she could , she went out of the great hall , to cry and deal with the biggest loss ever ..

Okay, I think i have it now and i appreciate it.

I’ve just made a bet against my Dad that if this post gets 2 million notes then i can get a Puppy. [like the one underneath]

I didn’t realise how much 2 million was and i couldn’t take that number down now. It should look like 2,000,000 in the notes bar.

He’s convinced that this will never reach that number, and very confident about it so Let’s prove him wrong!! He thinks this will get about 25 notes beofre it’s left in the dust.

You don’t have to do it for me. But for the point and to prove him wrong. He has to pay and everything so let’s make him suffer with it!!
