peter: but isn't that YOU, mr. stark?

tony: no, that's robert downey jr. we're NOTHING alike.

I haven't seen these on here (apologies if they are), so I figured I'd upload them myself. From the wonderful book Wakanda Files, which has toonnssss of super awesome information and documents about the characters, weapons, tech, and more.

I’m all for Peter trying to hide he’s sick or injured, but what if he doesn’t realize until someone else (Tony) points it out?

Example:

Tony: Underoos, is your ear bothering you?

Peter: What? No, why?

Tony: You keep rubbing it… and it looks red. Are you sure?

Peter: I guess it is kind of tingly…

*Later*

Yes he does, Peter.

Tony: I told him he couldn’t eat ice cream for breakfast and he told me I wasn’t his best friend anymore, so we made a compromise.

Happy: Which was?

I feel like, in the beginning, Tony was very impressed with Peter. I think he expected Peter to be some nerd trying to be a hero. He expected a teenager but when he got to talk with him, something changed.

The first thing Peter says to Tony when he asks about his MO is: ‘because I’ve been me my whole life ‘ but he got the powers and now things are different. 

He’s trying to tell him he’s always been like this. He’s the loser, he’s the one they bully, he’s the nerd of the school and that having powers shouldn’t change that because he’s always been that person. 

The more Peter tells about himself the more Tony realizes he’s talking to a mirror. He’s talking to someone who understands. 

Peter tells him what probably is the kid version of: ‘I shouldn’t be alive… unless it was for a reason. I’m not crazy, Pepper. I just finally know what I have to do. And I know in my heart that it’s right.’

He tells him he doesn’t get to choose anymore. 

And this is probably the moment Tony got Peter in his mind forever. But the moment he started to love him? 

Many people might argue with this but someone who is worried sick to lose you already loves you. Tony didn’t need to realize this at the moment (Homecoming) but he probably loved him the moment he started to care so much. The moment where losing him was not an alternative anymore.  

‘‘Tony isn’t that kind of person who is emotionally exposed, but Tony always puts Peter in his heart. He loves Peter very much.’‘ - Robert Downey Jr.

‘‘Tony’s complicated feelings around caring for this kid way too much to focus on the task at hand.’‘

Downey even said that Tony was crazy about Peter and that Peter made him want to be a better person. The directors said that Tony’s life got better the moment Peter was in it.

By the time they’re at full father-son dynamic in IW, Tony even compares Pepper’s love for him to his love for Peter. He puts Peter on that level of importance. Peter was one of the people who saw him die, he’s part of his family. 

‘‘It took everything Tony had to keep himself calm and not think back to mere seconds ago when that terror had been his own, directly connected to the possibility of losing Peter Parker’‘

We might not know what happened between them during that time but we got some hints:

‘He knew every mistake I ever made’

‘He always knew I would do what’s right’

‘I just really miss him’

‘The one thing that he did that he didn’t second-guess was picking you.I don’t think Tony would’ve done what he did…if he didn’t know that you were gonna be here after he was gone.’

Their relationship deepened every moment they spent together. I feel like they were learning from each other each time. Peter was and will always be his kid.
