it's beautiful to me that tmbg dropped a song about two men getting married in their very first album and it isn't even the top ten for their best queer anthems, 90% of which are completely accidental

i had a dream that tmbg released a "new version" of fingertips that was exactly the same recording except with a new 10 second bit edited in right after all alone all by myself of flans singing "la la la la tits"

john flansburgh's vocals on "about me" are nothing short of angelic, its unfortunate that the song ends in three minutes of uninterrupted silence, making it kind of a playlist killer, and there aren't even the secret tracks on streaming to justify it. don't get me wrong, the silence is hilarious in its own way, but i feel like i don't listen to the song enough because of it

so in stormy pinkness when he says it fills his "johnny cup with gloom" is a "johnny cup" an actual thing or does he just call any cup that because his name is john. like does he wake up in his johnny bed and pick up his johnny toothbrush. just wondering very cool either way
