Herbs and Others for Curses, Hexes, and Jinxes
coffee/dark cocoa - causes target bitterness
Chili Powder ~ for discord, bane, curses
Mustard Seed ~ the seed of strife and discord. Leave it at one’s doorstep, particularly black mustard seed. This seed sprinkled around the trunk of a fruit tree on the first evening of the full moon will cause the tree to bear no fruit.
Onion ~ can cause strife in an enemy’s life.
Poppy Seed ~ Causes couples to argue.
Sumac ~ for curses, hexing, bringing bad luck
Grapefruit - causes enemy sour start, but leaves a good ending
peppers - great for those spreading lies and talking general shit. The hotter the pepper (vegetable or spice) the more intense the curse.
salt - to repel someone from reentering your life and home.
vinegar - to make someone eat their words or to stop running their mouth.
basil - for someone who owes you money.
mint - to cool someone’s anger or hatred toward you.
potato - for someone standing in your way. carve someone’s name into the potato (or initials) and then cut it up/cook as normal.
having a wooden spoon you use ONLY for cursing magic within the kitchen. You can inscribe/woodburn sigils and words to your liking. This is VERY useful. Just be sure you ONLY use it for cursing and hexing for foods.
lemon/lime/any tart fruit - to stop someone’s slander, lies, and general cursing
Black pepper or ginger - add in baking mix if you want to cause the target anger.
Grated lemon - add in baking mix if you want to cause the target to be sour to others.
Black icing - colour correspondence for hexes and curses.
Stirring counter clockwise is good for undoing the actions or intent of the person you are cursing.
Stirring clockwise is for sealing/bringing to fruition.
You can do cursing/hexing in your kitchen. Write someone’s name on a slip of paper (or take their picture) and put it in your pot and add vinegar, oils, needles/nails and herbs on the stove, intending your hex on that person. Toss out like (preferably off your property) when done.
Most kitchen witches, myself included, keep glass jars and bottles around. You can take a piece of paper with the person’s name or their picture, put in a jar with oil and herbs and shake it up each time you focus your hexing intent. Obviously the more shaking you do the more intense. Do till you feel the hexing is done and they’ve stopped their shit.
When cursing/hexing food (or doing the pot trick like I mentioned above), you can also say (from Dorothy Morrison’s Utterly Wicked, pg. 66):
The magic that’s within this dish is meant for (name of target), as is my wish.
On others who may hear its call it shall not have any effect at all.
Pure delight is all they’ll feel as they fill their plates and eat this meal.
But (name of target) it will hit magically
As I will, so mote it be.

Given the state of the global economy, having enough money on hand for the essentials of life is likely to be a true struggle for millions of people. It’s a stressful reality, impacting even the hardest working among us. There’s nothing immoral or selfish about wanting to have enough money to live your life. The purpose of a sigil, after all, is to turn an abstract or unspoken desire into something more tangible. It doesn’t matter if we’re talking about private-island money, or pay-the-rent money. Ultimately, it’s speaking to that deep, essential need for the security that money provides.
Here’s a sigil for money that flows right to you. Use it well.

Trick or Treat by Anton Vitus Westerlund
My Honey Jar Recipe🍯🌻🧝🏼♀️
Disclaimer: there is no way to “mess this up”, or “do it wrong”. Whatever feels right for your jar is what you should include. As long as your intentions are worded correctly, “I have... healthy eating habits” instead of “I want healthy eating habits”. You WILL manifest what you put into this jar! Abundance and sweetness will come, as long as intentions are pure & true.
Anything with an *astric* is optional & was added by me. “Sweet”/“Honey Jars” are used for attracting or sweetening things in your life. This can be anything from a new potential lover, to self love or bringing light energy where there is dark. This was my first jar spell, and I genuinely have already seen a result this morning... big positive changes on the horizon!✨🌻
What you’ll need:
A Jar (size, shape, & style is up to you)
2 pieces of paper (that can be written on & folded into your jar)
A pencil or pen (which ever feels right)
Cinnamon (ground, sticks, or cinnamon sugar all work)
Honey, pancake syrup, or Agave nectar
*Bay leaf
*Basil
*Lavender
*Beads with my initials (symbol of me)
*Black seashells (cutting negative ties)
*Lavender essential oil
*Eucalyptus essential oil
*Lemongrass essential oil
*An alter space to create the jar. You can make this anytime, anywhere, but I like to set up an alter during all my magical practices :)
Step 1: Defining your Intentions
Take the time to sit down and think about what you need to “sweeten” or attract in your life. What you write on the two pieces of paper will be your Petition & Sigil(s).
Petition: These are your “requests”, written in a format of manifestation. These are your intentions. Boil these ideas down to reasonable, achievable, possibilities in your life. Put the date, your name, and birthday at the top for more personal power.
For example: “I want to be healthier”, will NOT manifest a healthier life. Try instead, “I have healthy eating habits”, “I work out to feel good”, or “My immune system is strong”... If you write that you “want” something, you will be left wanting it once the spell is complete.
If you want to “banish” something, try to work backwards. “I want to quit nicotine” will again, add energy to your want to quit, not necessarily you actually quitting. Instead, write “I am free of my nicotine addiction”... This allows the energy to manifest into what you WANT without saying “I want”. The universe doesn’t know the “maybe” or “I would like”... it knows “I have” and “I will”.
Step 2: Drawing your Sigil(s)
Sigil making is a very personal art, which I would suggest leaving up to the practitioner. My most basic way is to write a sentence that encompasses my intention. “I have healthy eating habits” (this will be my example, since I used it in my jar to help my disorderly eating habits)... Cross out vowels, and repeating letters, so there’s only one of each consenent left These jumbled consenents are now the letters that you can incorporate into a symbol. Circle the symbol, and rewrite the intention under it. I made 3 sigils on a piece of paper for my jar, but whatever feels right!
Step 3: Raising Energy for the Spell & Jar
Use visualization, grounding, and centering techniques to focus all your energy into the intentions you have before you. This is arguably the most important part of this process, so make sure they’re on your mind!
Step 4: Creating the jar🍯
I chose to start out with putting the loose herbs into the jar first. Then the bay leaf, beads, and lastly Petition/Sigil(s). The order in which you do this does not matter, whatever feels right in the moment with your intentions.
Step 5: Charge, Shake, Bless
Once your jar is assembled, it’s time to shake that bad boy up! Focus your intentions into the power of your hands, and shake the jar up! Feel the honeys thickness infusing your intentions with sweet sugar. Meditate with the jar in your hands, and visualize your light energy going into it. I suggest leaving crystals like clear quartz on top just for an energy boost. *Make sure the cork/cap is SECURE before shaking... (you don’t want a honey / syrup mess 😅)
That’s it! Charge your jar with energy when the intentions you set maybe feeling impossible. Add things to your jar if you don’t seal with candle wax. Also feel free to add embellishments✨ Put it in a safe place, be mindful, and enjoy!
Happy Jar making 😋🍯✨🌙🧝🏼♀️

Hello! I love your blog, I've been following for a little while and I was wondering if you had any tips for someone who really wants to get into wicca but has no idea where to start? I know little bits about crystals and tarot and such but learning everything seems like such a daunting task... and how do i pick which kind of magick i want to do, stuff like that? You obv dont have to answer but I'd really appreciate it if you did
Hello, and welcome to the craft! I almost always recommend starting with what interests you! It can be daunting and exhausting to try to learn everything at once, or to force yourself to learn a topic that doesn’t call to you.
There’s lots to learn about witchcraft, and while that can feel overwhelming, it also means you can start wherever and make some progress. Each thing you learn will contribute to your craft!
Really passionate about crystals? Learn about the different types. What correspondences do they have? What energies do they give off to you? How are they formed? How are rocks in general formed, and what energies to different rocks you find give off to you? How are you making sure your crystals are ethically sourced?
I made a whole post on how mundane topics can influence your craft + what you could research:
Click here for all the other posts in this series! This post is all about how the mundane can broaden your craft, and what topics you might
I’m the type of person who likes diving deep into a certain topic, usually this will naturally lead into a different topic. That’s how I learned the craft, one topic at a time! I started with teas, which turned into learning herbal remedies and then correspondences, then using herbs in spells, then creating my own magical correspondences for wild plants, etc. etc.
