When the Monroe County Museum announced that it was doing a Cottagecore theme for its First Friday event for June, I knew I had to go check it out.  Join me as I explore the River Raisin Territorial Park and enjoy several cottagecore themed activities, all perfect for the slow living enthusiast. All the senses are satisfied as I try my hand at making some crafts, taste some yummy flavors, and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Recently a friend gave me a copy of “The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady” by Edith Holden, a book I’ve been looking to get a copy of for some time now.  Rather than just talk about the book, I’ve used it as inspiration for cottagecore/historybounding lookbook.  

Tumblr is arguably the birthplace of the modern aesthetic movement. So when their new show Tumblr Top 5 @top5series with Shane Madej and Ryan Bergara (Buzzfeed Unsolved, Watcher @wearewatcher) tackled the tumblr’s top aesthetics, I knew I had to make a video about it.  Join me on my first react video as I learn what Shane and Ryan’s top aesthetics are and find out tumblr’s aesthetic trends. Will cottagecore remain dominant or will a new aesthetic rise up to unseat it?

This dress was last spotted in 2008 in 𝑳𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝑫𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒕, where Freema Agyeman wore it as Tattycoram.   The costume had also been worn by several uncredited extras in productions such as the 1995 adaptation of 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒋𝒖𝒅𝒊𝒄𝒆.   The dress likely originated from the 1977 film 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑫𝒖𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒔, when Meg Wynn Owen wore it as Léonie.   Would you believe this dress has been spotted a staggering 10 times over the years?
