“Not sure. But then again if I say something really unspecific like, for example, we’ll be having a natural disaster this year and, this year you will go through hardship -- it can be linked to anything. Have a bad day or a forest fire or a tidal wave and those predictions are being met. So it’s not that hard. What impressed me about her though, is that she was right about Obama becoming president. Like she got the number of president right and the ethnicity. That says something.” 

"Obviously you’ve never watched figure skating.” He chuckled, making way towards the ice rink. “You’re one of the few people on this earth actually married to their jobs, you know that?” Noah mused, watching Marco just as he stepped on the ice himself. A little wobbly but he quickly straightened into a good posture. He was one to say, almost forty and he hadn’t gotten married himself. Or well, married again. He would drown himself in work every day if he could. “Hey this isn’t so bad.” Noah eventually said, slowly gliding over the ice. 

“Yeah. 2012 was a huge let down, wasn’t it?” Noah agreed, an eyebrow raised along with a large smirk. The whole end of the world fiasco. The doomsday preachers were still debating about that one. Maybe it was the end of the world as we knew it, making way for global warming -- was it a heavily debated subject by then? He couldn’t remember if it was. “Don’t we all? Two birds one stone.” 

“Uh, I don’t know. It doesn’t say.” He said, scanning the article again to see if he missed it. But he was certain there were a lot of stories that were linked to older people. Who wasn’t in a scary story these days. “I mean, Normally I am too but apparently she was right in saying that Obama would be the first black president, among other things. That says something, right?” He asked, turning off his phone’s screen and sliding it into his pocket. “It was an interesting read, for sure.”

“Most definitely makes it more daring if it’s unlicensed, I’ll give you that much. But I doubt this would be the right location to make something that big without getting caught. Though it makes me wonder how many times a copper asked them what they thought they were doing. Talk about making a deadline.” He recognised the woman when giving her another glance, having passed her sometime when making his way to work though had never uttered another word then a mere hello when walking by.  “Oh I could, but I’m a rather poor excuse for a guinea pig, I’m afraid I’ll only leave you disappointed upon giving you the verdict.” He wasn’t much for a club person, and if he went it was purely because of the company. At least he was lucky most of his friends these days preferred bars and shooting pool over going to a club to dance. He couldn’t remember the last time he had trouble washing off one of those bloody stamps from his hand. 

"Wow, what a rebel you are.” Noah snickered, but of course all in a jest. “Honestly, sounds like that faculty member has a touchy side for being upset about hearing someone’s opinion. I wonder how he... she... became a faculty member to begin with.” He had no patience for people who took everything personal. It wasn’t as if she implied his mother a llama. “With all due respect... Does Debbie need to know everything?” Noah carefully asked, one eyebrow raised as lips turned into a smile. “The offer stands if you change your mind.” 

He had never been shy of a party in his life, in fact he hosted quite a few in his younger days. But ever since he came back home from his tour, he couldn’t find the joy in the things of old anymore. He usually shared those with Mathilda and with her face nowhere to be found in the crowd, it just didn’t feel like it was worth it. “You’re a photographer?” He asked quite out of the blue, before pointing at her camera. “Or hobbyist?” 

“Choose your pick. Cell towers stop working, or maybe the power runs out and you’ll be left tortured with every percentage of battery running out. That’s a horror movie right there.” Though he wasn’t necessarily a technophobe, he definitely had no issue being without a cellphone or television for a long amount of time. Actually he found most devices to be creating more tense and anxious situations than most could cope with. And he definitely wasn’t a fan of the idea of being hacked. “Aw. Now that hurts my feelings, Soph.” A hand placed across his chest, he looked at the blonde next to him, bottom lip pressed into a pout to bolden what he just said. 

“It’s a good topic to have on your mind.” Noah chuckled, putting down the newspaper he had been reading while his coffee was gradually cooling down. “My sister recommended I read a book called Flowers in the attic so maybe that might be something for you to read? I haven’t yet had the chance to do it myself so I can’t really tell you what it’s about, aside from what she’s told me. Four children locked up in the attic by their mother and grandmother so that their grandfather doesn’t find out and the mother begins to start a new life? Something like that anyway, sounds very emotional.”

“That bad again, huh?” Sometimes he worried that Marco was overworking himself. He could admire anyone who was that dedicated to their job, but surely one’s job wasn’t supposed to stress someone out that badly. Then again, up-keeping a restaurant and its service was a hard task for anyone, so stress seemed to be a package deal. “One drink coming right up then.” Noah tipped, already making his way towards the stairs that would lead to the small kitchen on his boat. He had bought some heaters for late nights on the boat, so they might as well enjoy their beers on the deck. “I put in a new steering wheel this afternoon, other than that nothing much else.” He lied, he had been busy on that blasted steering wheel for multiple days, and not in a row as work wouldn’t let him. He only today got the mechanics to properly work so that he wouldn’t steer the boat where it wasn’t supposed to go in the future. “Had a call from my ma, but that was only five minutes as one of her clients said some yacht stuff and she needed to confirm whether it was true or not.” He called out from below deck, coming up right after he completed his sentence with two opened beer bottles. “And you? Aside from the hell that was dinner service?” 

“Uh.. Okay right off the bat.. I always thought Miss Eva Green is a beautiful lady? Maybe the woman I pass on my way to work every morning. This is a rather blunt question I might need to put some more thought to this.”

“Let’s see. I just took a beer, sat down, grabbed my laptop and decided to answer these. I might get some crisps in a bit .. What do you think?”
