So far from what we know, this is what he have next... he went all like "who are you?" These are the things we have so far... I think it's safer to distinguish between Amane & Hanako while talking about this... because of this thingy...
Let's pay attention to it so we can stay on the safe side. Assuming a loss of memories happens in the progseess or something like that... since we have this clock thingy & he doesn't remember much about it from his past... I can go for 3 things regarding that case really... first: it's been more than 50 years it's normal to forget stuff about the past. second: it's due to what he talked about regarding how much of you remains in your supernatural form. third: it's due to the clock keepers turning back time so he forgot some aspects about it. I could also add a little 4th one... assuming Tsukasa might have a hand in that thing? Uh... that being said... I can really answer to any memory loss or whatever on Hanako's side with 1- it's what he explained to Nene. 2- some supernatural power might be included. 3- too much time had passed since that thing happened, it's natural to forget stuff.
So, as Amane... he met her when he was like.. 8... then met her again 5 years later... he didn't remember meeting her before.
That's all you noticed... This boy... just thinking this thing could of been at least a key to remind him of that "onee-san" he met with similar fat legs before... it seems that totally slipped his mind. I don't really look much into the 'outfit change'. I can meet someone 5 years after meeting them originally and I will still remember their facial expressions, especially when they look exactly the same as the first time I met them.oh.. there could be that he was still little back then and little kids forget stuff easily... hmm... such a nice "onee-san" won't be that easy to forget to our little boy I assume? we have the warm feeling he had when she wished him luck stuck within him even as Hanako after all. imagine if it's the same case and he got a 'feeling' about these legs and said feeling comes from the memory of meeting "nice onee-san with similar legs" in the festival that's hidden in the back of his mind.
So... this thing happened a few days before his talk with Tsuchigomori... and a few days later he met his end I assume... ? maybe this was the last time he met her??? maybe not???
Anyway, so as Amane 'from what we have so far'... he doesn't really have a good memory 'on regard of remembering people' I have to say.
Hanako on the other hand, it could be 'time' or 'that thing he said' the reason behind forgetting meeting Nene before as Amane. I don't think he showed any clear sigh of remembering her from his past so far.

I really love how Tsukasa just sounds gentle and childish with the whole thing... all you can comment on it is something like... cute... little kitty! or something like that... while the one with Hanako... he looks gentel as well but... I won't lie he was trying to look cool & hot and all. Despite Tsukasa's kiss being a lips one & Hanako's one being a cheek one... Tsukasa's feels like the "simple" one between them...he is a simple little boy, isn't he? adorable!
Nene-chan is really a good assistant who deserves to be rewarded! After I gave her a reward... 'like you did before' let me have her for a sec Amane! This thing is fun to consider for a moment! Ok... back on track... Tsuaksa's sharp memeory!
It's not just the case of Nene-chan he has a sharp memory with, though...We have all the red house stuff, kou and mit stuff, even the thing Hanako doesn't recall at the moment, that being the clock deal... buttt... maybe we should emphasize here on the fact that this little guy is "special" so... maybe it's a bit unfair to compare his sharp memory to Amane's/Hanako's or anyone really. I'm not ignoring the fact that this boy does have a sharp memory normally, but being 'special' sharpens it even more it seems!
Sooo... where were we? Uh... I was talking about the thing with Nene & Amane meeting in the past and all... so yeah... having how Amane's/Hanako's memory recalling system works, I wouldn't be surprised if he shared lots of memories together with Nene in his past, but said memories are just sleeping in the back of his mind.
So maybe... maybeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee... and that's a big one... there is a possibility Nene might be that firend he was referring to. You can call your little brother your friend, but... let's have this thing in mind for a sec.
I'm more of a fan of the "Tsukasa being that friend" thing, naturally. Sooo... I'm just gonna chill and wait for what's to come.

1) Hmm... We're getting closer to getting ch 103, and I'm still not able to go back & look at chapter 102, all because of that glorious ending. I still didn't get the courage to make "Ch 102: Random thoughts" yet... Maybe I will be able to make it before ch 103 is out... At least I hope so.
2) I'm not so ready to see Tsukasa back. Isn't that funny? I, the person who kept on wishing to see him back, now don't feel ready to see that happen. This new arc feels extreme to me, first chapter into it, in the very first pages, we got to see living Tsukasa? For real? Some twins' lore? Hanako having some memory issues? Second chapter, living Tsukasa proves to be ahead of things and to be a 'cat' that should be taken seriously (now I see why we weren't supposed to see him before, at least at this age... I'm excited to see the face & actions of Tsukasa from the tanabata festival now. I don't believe he was only a hramless kitty playing katanuki, sorry) Now, following this line of thought, seeing Tsukasa from the past being this capable with things, then... that makes his present self far more 'dangerous'. Especially lately, since present Tsukasa seems to be... extra confident and pleased with how things are going so far. Which makes me wonder... What is he up to? What does he have in mind? He must have a huge plan in motion right now. If his past self is 'dangerous', then he is extra 'dangerous'. And thus, I have mixed feelings about Tsukasa coming back. I look forward to it, but I feel it will be mind-blowing, I'm worried that would be too much for me to handle.
I find it especially kind and generous that Tsukasa 'invited' Nene into his... world this time around a few times. Focusing on this 'tag' thing. How much does it truly mean to him? Is it a casual game he came up with out of the blue, being the usual chaotic & unpredictable creature he is, or is it more than that?
It's no surprise Tsukasa naturally is a game-boy. When it comes to playing tag, I have to say it's a game he grew up on, a part rooted in him that directly goes back into his very childhood.
A part he is fond of, if anything. A part he shared with his most beloved Amane. How pure.
So, the moment I look at this,
I can't really see a mean or controlling guy getting things done according to his terms, enjoying the chaos he is creating for those he chases...
ย ... rather, I see a boy genuinely, childishly, naively thinking you find things as fun as he does. He thinks you're playing 'together'. Everything is so harmless. He also thinks the 'things he wants to show you', just like they are to his liking, they are to you. I basically wonder if the 'stuff' he believes Amane loves aren't exactly that way for Amane, given this. Amane maybe was too sick to complain, and accepted the 'kind attempt' from Tsukasa. Worse, was too sick to even notice they were there. Leaving Tsukasa thinking he is doing something Amane loves.
So, he takes your complaints as... hard to understand as annoyance or lack of investment.
He thinks there is no need to even ask if you 'want to' play tag, it's a fact you do and find it to be a grand time. Just like he does.
He is too simple - minded here, not exactly unaware or absent minded to his surroundings, he thinks he is sharing a fun game of tag with you, a thing so, so, much happy and full of laughter and giggles from his childhood, something that one day used to be a piece of happiness he shared with his most special person. He is playing it with you! Everyone loves a game of tag! Everyone enjoys it way too much, all the way through!
He would just behave as such, from the get go.
He is cheerfully and openly offering a piece of himself, something, if we're honest, Tsukasa rarely does, personally, I want to embrace all the chaos it holds if I could. The chase, the 'gift', everything. I would like to respect it as should. I don't care if it's too childish or annoying or weird, I see its pure intentions, and for me, that's enough. It's the most beautiful thing, I love it. I mean, I think if someone truly sat with him, reasoned with him: listen boy, you need to think this more, he would keep it in mind and react as such. He always does. Even if he messes at times, he still tries. What matters the fact that he actually tries.
Hereโฆ I always thought he might be justโฆ silent as to recharge from the too much he experainced in this short -festival- time, buzzing inside his head. Clear his mind. Emotionally, especially. Silent, andโฆ still. Looking at the vast wide open 'sky'. A serene moment he so much needs.
A song-play, a pastโฆ and a game of tag he hadn't played in 50 years and had an actual participant (who is also the girl he... found similar to him since he was 4 yo, and unlike Amane or Mitsuba seemed to join the game) to enjoy it, the other games with him (later on, even if it had him done. haha). The honor this girl is getting here, no joke.
This little boy who...above all else, still kept the beauty within himself, who... didn't give up a silly game of tag to be 'Tsukasa'. Even after being isolated & locked up in a house, he came back to share this happiness with Amane again, even after being locked in a boundary for 50? years, he comes to share it with Mitsuba and Nene. No matter how he might 'seem' to have changed, his core will always be this little boy.
He is a tired, wounded, lone soul, but a soul that as much as it could, still offers the sweetest in it to the world when it could. I admire that.
How real he is, how human he is. Even when everything around him tries to strip those away from him.
That makes it way too intense for me.
It's the least of my worries to analyze how in the right or wrong according to our terms -that I find unfair to judge him with he is. I could care less. I believe the manga itself says so. It's dull. If I see the vision, I follow its sense. This is vibrant. This is what's fascinating and the core of this.

First, letโs go over the Phantomhive twinsโ story:

R!Ciel and O!Ciel were born December 14th, 1875.ย
R!Ciel was born earlier, so he was declared as the Phantomhive heir.ย
O!Ciel was born sometime soon thereafter, becoming his brotherโs โspare.โ
R!Ciel would continue to have good health until his death. He was described as โmischievousโ (by Mr. Pitt the photographer), and โkind, cheerful, and braveโ (by his brother).ย
O!Ciel, alternatively, would suffer from age five onwards (and before that) with various illnesses and asthma (which he inherited from his mother). Because of his constant isolation and being his brotherโs spare, O!Ciel suffered (and continues to suffer from) low-self worth and has an inferiority complex. Heโs described as โquite shyโ (by his father), โa weak childโ (by his aunt), and โthoughtfulโ (by Tanaka).
Itโs very evident that the twinsโ parents loved them a lot. And any neglect was either unintentional or era-typical.ย
But even with that in mind, and despite his love for his brother, O!Ciel felt jealousy towards his older brother. Not like he wanted to hurt his brother or wanted him to suffer in any way, but jealous in the way that it probably hurt his heart to be constantly alone, watching his family through an upper-level window. The kind of jealousy thatโs an ache, dulled after so long of hoping for something different.ย
And R!Ciel likely felt jealousy towards his brother as well. For his freedom and lack of responsibility (though that hasnโt really been shown yet).ย
The twins, in spite of whatever jealousy or resentment they might have had due to their situation, loved each other very, very much.ย
R!Ciel took his job as O!Cielโs big brother very seriously. He would bring him milk with honey when his coughing was bad, protected him when it mattered, comforted him, and on at least occasion, brought him dinner.ย
On their tenth birthday, their home would burn down, their parents would be killed, and they would be trafficked.ย
Undetermined time later, they would be sold to a satanic cult and tortured in many different ways (including but not limited to SA, branding, and force feeding).ย
This would go on for weeks, until the next full moon, when R!Ciel would be scarified.ย
O!Ciel was left behind with guilt and sorrow so strong he summoned a demon.ย
The demon would soon after inform him that he (unintentionally) sold his brotherโs soul as payment for its arrival or โCrossing.โ
O!Cielโs guilt and his sorrow became so much bigger than his tiny body could contain. In this, he decided to โbecomeโ Earl Ciel Phantomhive. Thereby, becoming the heir (or his brother) and getting rid of what he hated most (himself).ย
Years would pass - about three years, nineish months.ย
O!Ciel changed drastically in personality, adopting some of his father and brotherโs personality traits. (As well as Sebastianโs and whatever traits he adopted because of the abuse he suffered at the hands of the cult). He went from sweet and thoughtful to cruel, callous, and calculated. Although, part of this would be a facade.ย
And then, in 1889, R!Ciel returned from the dead with the help of Undertaker (a mortician thatโs secretly a grim reaper that ran away from headquarters half-a-century before the story takes place). Heโs, presumably, soulless, and gets his brother arrested after framing him for dozens of murders.ย
It should be noted that, despite getting his brother in trouble and likely resenting him for siding with Sebastian and taking his identity and going on to (probably) destroy O!Cielโs company, R!Ciel seems to still love his brother. For one, he takes getting his brother arrested as a game, he allows his brotherโs servants to go free, and heโs happy his brother โwonโ against him when Mey-rin destroyed a blood collection facility.ย
Heโs also a bizarre doll, which means (unless Undertaker did something different) that heโs running on his desires for the future he had when he died. Considering how attached to his brother he was, even throwing a tantrum when he learned his brother wanted to move away to London, it wouldnโt surprise me if itโs revealed his motivation lies in isolating O!Ciel (and/or getting rid of Sebastian) and having him stay by R!Cielโs side.ย
O!Ciel, while he still loves his brother, is shocked and horrified by his surprising return.ย ย
With his reputation in ruins and his empire torn asunder, O!Ciel vows revenge against his brother (which his brother seems to think is a game).ย
Phew! That was a lot. Sorry for anyone that already knew that, but itโs going to be important later. Iโll try to keep the next section short. Now onto-ย
Secondly, letโs go over the Yugi Twinsโ Story:
The Yugi twins were born on November 25th, 1955.ย
Amane is born first, while Tsukasa is born second.ย
From an early age, Amane suffers from extremely poor health.
It gets to the point where he can no longer play with his brother, and heโs deemed terminal.ย
Tsukasa continues to bring his brother little trinkets, trying to cheer him up. At some point, he meets a God underneath their house that eventually promises to make Amane better in exchange for a sacrifice.ย
Tsukasa would agree, and sacrifice himself after celebrating his brother and his fourth birthday.ย
He would be gone for six months, only returning from the Godโs stomach because he heard his brother is going to kill Tsukasa and then himself.ย
Tsukasa and Amane would continue to be close after the incident.ย
The exact approximation of when their relationship fell apart is hard to discern, but it mightโve started as far back as the star festival and as recently as their second year in middle school. Though, by the time Amane kills his brother, their relationship was wrought with misunderstandings, resentment, and unspoken love.ย

Though, no matter how hard he tries, he canโt escape how guilty he feels.ย
When provoked into remembering, Hanako has episodes that resemble PTSD or at least something close to it.ย
His brother returns, escaping from Hanakoโs boundary, and surprises Hanako.
Tsukasa seemingly, despite whatever restatement he might hold for his brother, loves Hanako and continues to say it several times throughout the manga/anime. Heโs also extremely affectionate towards his brother, though Hanako is hesitant to reach out and even breaks down crying the first couple times being confronted by his brother.ย
A spiritโs strength is apparently measured in their guilt and sorrow when they die.ย
Hanakoโs strength while unsealed is described as โable to bring the world into chaos.โ
Assuming he has nothing else to feel guilty over, he likely feels more guilt for his brotherโs death than his body can hold.ย
Tsukasa and Hanako have opposing views and continue to get in each otherโs way through several arcs in the manga.ย

Set in different eras (1960s and modern era vs. the Victorian era).ย
Set in different countries (Japan vs. England).ย

Both struggle with social skills due to being isolated as a child and their own self-worth issues.ย

Both love their brothers very much and want the best for them.ย
Both change their personality (both intentionally and unintentionally) after a traumatic event.ย
Both adopt parts of their brothersโ personality to better suit their new persona.ย
Due to the nature of their brothersโ deaths, they both possess a level of guilt and sorrow that any normal person would explode into a million pieces over.ย
Both are in shock when their brother comes back.
Both have โPTSDโ episodes over the trauma theyโve experienced.ย
Both oppose their brothersโ ideologies and continue to stand in their ways.ย

Now, thinking for a moment... Tsukasa is a truly thoughtful person! He knew Nene won't be able to come back to take the puzzle or the other things and they will be left there and just go to waste. He saved the puzzel! I wonder about the other things... they seemed fun, too... did he take them as well? or was the puzzle the most interesting and outstanding thing to him?
Also, um... the twins had a little time with only the 2 of them after Nene wasn't there, right? I wonder if they talked about something important... or Tsukasa just casually got interested in the things Nene brought and took the puzzle then... asked Amane to have it? As passionate as I am about the fact that Tsukasa & Nene would have a fun time solving a puzzle together... I don't think our friend white inferno is the right answer here. Not this one.
I either see Nene blankly staring at it for eternity, as Tsukasa solves it all by himself, simply.. forgetting the world and losing himself in one of his own and white inferno. Or, worse, she messes it for him... and here his patience truly is tested. XD
No one messes with his games or fun alike. Not his hard work, or plans.~
Otherwise, he'll get done with the whole thing and leave. ~

It all started with a "Why not try out something 'Tsukasa' again?" A certain puzzle came to mind, and I said let's solve one. See how smart a girl can be. haha ~
Okay, so... it was something decent... took me like... 20 minutes to finish it. It had like... hmm... 63 pieces in total.
So, I truly wondered... for a puzzle of 2000 pieces... how was Tsukasa truly doing? Absolutely Impressive.
Like... let's say he finished half of it... so 1000 pieces don't seem to even have taken him 10 minutes. Frankly, that's inhumane. Supernatural, yeah. XD
Now this thing, simply is illogical. "Wow, that was incomprehensible. please, be kind, rewind."
???
How does it even work for him? At what speed does both his ONE hand and brain work?? That's insane.
But... as we know his brain is... 'limitless'... and his hands are... illogical on their own... they are speed...
He himself is speed really...
So... makes sense? ????
Time & logic are no issue for him. Unlike some... things.
Ah, one has to admit... being a supernatural -of his kind- has its perks.

I can see the sparkles, hear the silly giggles he'll let out, before the world spins for the two, and they are on the floor. Some Tsukasa on top, being a real cat, maybe rubbing his face against theirs, and kicking his legs around chaotically. His hold? We know. Best of luck to them!
How would he feel to receive their loving hug? LOVED! Overjoyed! Heart flutter! Happy, Happy, Happy! As fluffy as a could! Good, good, good!
Overwhelmed? Definitely. Because he is a softie.
But know what comes on top? His own love for them! Thus, the fast reaction of his, in its nature. He loves so much, so much, it overflows. Those he loves are lucky to have him!
You'll give him a hug? He will give you one, two and more. He would give you the world, and anything at all just to see you happy.

I think, at the core of what you share, it's essential to keep reassuring him that he is loved, wanted and accepted. I believe this is the 'behind the scenes' of the 'loving hug' that he 'desires' from you. Let him learn your feelings too. Not just his own.

He will be surprised at first, he'll take his sweet time to adjust, 'then', they need to get ready for what to come. Prepare their hearts for the hug he'll return with so many extra values. Spoiler, they won't ever get there. Because whoever loves this boy so much will be overwhelmed to keep 'control'.
So, they get carried away, thanks to this, he is overwhelmed himself. Either he acts cool about it, or be too much of that he won't be able to even think straight to act cool. He'll run away as last chance to save his heart.
