This is what the inside of a golfball looks like - James Friedman
Photographer, and non-golfer, James Friedman, was curious as to what lays hidden inside of golf balls and to his surprise what he found âinspired me to consider that I could discover, in the unlikeliest of places, elegant formal qualities and surprising metaphorical possibilities.â

Reflexiones by Matthias Heiderich
With a remarkable gift of capturing vivid and powerful pin sharp scenes, once again Berlin-based photographer, Matthias Heiderich, drew our attention to himself. The series âReflexionesâ has emerged in April and May of this year, during a trip to Spain. He visited places like Madrid, Santiago de Compostela, Aviles and Bilbao to document contemporaneous architecture.Â
Places also marked on his route were developing areas in the south of Madrid, Ciudad de la Cultura in Santiago and Centro Niemeyer in AvilĂŠs. He tells us his approach towards the depicted subject was as always, ârather of artistic than handcrafted nature, which means, I take more liberties with pictorial design as it would be possible for an architectural photographerâ.
This way he composes captivating images of minimalist nature in which an aesthetic idealization is more important than the realistic representation of the building. Seemingly effortlessly Matthias Heiderich succeeds in a game of loud and strong, sometimes subtle colors, capturing the selected objects in a unique and thrilling way.

Tattoos by Expanded Eye
Artists Jade Tomlinson and Kev James of Expanded Eye split their time between London and Thonon-les-Bains, France where they pursue a wide range of artistic endeavors including illustration, street art, and tattoos. Kev does the actual ink work while the duo collaborate for several days on the artwork that merges natural elements with typography and geometry using extremely delicate line work. It is so rare that I get excited about tattoo art and this is definitely an exception, my jaw dropped on seeing just a few quick email attachments and Iâve since gone through their gallery of work four or five times. The pair will be back in Thonon-les-Bains in the fall and are scheduling appointments starting mid-November. See more of their work over on Facebook.

This is a real panda! China has this âpanda diplomacyâ and this one will be sent to Japan as a friendship envoy. For safety reasons he sits as a passenger with his feeder, not in a cage. Fastening the seat belt, wearing a diaper, eating bamboos..etc
Norm aka the new dog in the place!
Seattle-based Jeremy Veach has been the proud owner of Norm, his four-legged friend, since the pup was just 8 weeks old (heâs now 1 1/2). Soon after Jeremy got him, he started taking photos of the photogenic dog, inspired by some canine favorites like good âol Maddie, and began posting them on Instagram. (Jermzlee now has almost 24,000 followers.)

Mesmerizing Ceiling Canopy Installation Made with Thousands of Clay Pots
For their latest project the folks at Melbourne based March Studio have suspended nearly 4,000 upside down terracotta pots from the ceiling of the recently opened Gazi Restaurant. The striking hive-like ceiling installation was created by attaching clay pots of various sizes to steel rods. Fourteen different length rods were used to create the undulating abstract shape, and because the construction is porous, it allowed lights and services to either drop through the canopy or be hidden behind it.

Dalston House by Leandro Erlich
Today saw the opening of Dalston House - a new installation by internationally known Argentine artist Leandro Erlich created for the Barbican as part of their "Barbican Beyond" project.
Located on vacant lot on Ashwin Street in Dalston, east London, the artwork resembles a theatre set, with a detailed facade of a Victorian terraced house lying horizontally on the ground with mirrors positioned overhead to reflect visitors, giving the impression they are standing on, suspended from, or scaling the building vertically.
The house has been specially designed to resemble the houses that previously stood on the block, reminding us of the area's rich history. The installation will be accompanied by talks, workshops, and live performances, each of which explore the various themes of the project including architectural history, urbanism, and perception. The exhibition is open now until 4 August, 2013, and entrance is free.

Giant Cloud Shaped Pavillion Constructed Out of Plastic Water Bottles
As part of the Figment NYC outdoor festival, designers Jason Klimoski, AIA, and Lesley Chang of Studio Klimoski Chang Architects, created a large cloud-shaped pavilion made of completely recyclable materials. The "Head in the Clouds Pavilion" is a large structure, constructed from aluminum, wood, and 53,780 recycled plastic bottles and water jugs - the number of plastic bottles thrown away in New York City in just 1 hour. The jugs were used to create the organic outer shell of the cloud, while the water bottles filled with water and food dye make up the blue interior. Visitors can walk inside the cloud and contemplate the shifting light as it filters through the layers of bottles.
Air Malta: Awaken the Spirit of Travel - Candle Stop Motion at Ä nejna Beach
Using over 400 red candles which are ubiquitous around Malta and a crew of thirty people we decided to tell a Maltese story on a beach at sunset. The candles were lit and extinguished to create a series of images which evoke some of the feelings which Malta as a destination inspires and to awaken the spirit of travel
