That might be the case for you but like I said some people naturally put their relationships with others first and it can help them. For example if you focus on your professional relationship with your boss you are more likely to climb up your career ladder. Also like I said sometimes you might see it as an issues but for the person they don’t feel like they are in danger. 

I get where you are coming fro and your point stands mainly when it comes to you personally but everyone is different. 

Also the word you are looking for is emotional not empathetic. Because I know you and you can feel sorry for someone but you don’t always engage the CORE emotion they are feeling.

again, i am writing about your CENTRE - as in your CORE, your MAIN focus, that which occupies your thoughts in most situations.

for a person with borderline personality disorder (mental illness), your centre is likely unbalanced - a "void" of self, substituting your identity with external validation. your emotional depth, anxiety and fear of abandonment force you to focus unhealthily on relationships and people. this behaviour is directly symptomatic of the disorder, and can be treated with DBT and schema. (do you see what i mean?)

Also you seem to be taking it personally because you now are taking about something private I struggle with. I did not think it had anything to do with me. To make it care I’ve been told I MIGHT have bpd but I’m not going to let labels stop me from being a kind person so I have not gotten diagnosed with it. 

I’m not offended at all because I should be able to have an opinion or give advice to make others feel seen freely. 

Empathic is not a meaning less for someone who wants to talk about mental health it can actually be viewed as a mental health issue because some people will feel the same emotions as the persons around then wether they know them or not. 

I understand what you meant and like I said your not wrong but you are not completely correct either because people have the choice to choose what they have in their centre: like family etc. 

Im not defining your emotions I’m explaining sometimes you don’t always now the difference and too an extent I do know you but I’m not going to expose you through tumblr like you did for me.
