My Doctor really would like some people to go on adventures with. And I would really love to plan a plot.

“Alone isn’t better. It isn’t safer. I thought you would have learnt that by now. —-You don’t do well on your own.”
"It's safer for you.
I've failed so many times to save you but this is my last chance, Clara.
–––I can't fail you again."
"I am a fancy dress grump, to be honest.”

Dr. James Smith was exhausted. Not only was grading tiring because of the huge pile of papers that rested on his desk at home, he just felt physically drained. Lectures seemed like less of something he looked forward to, and more of something he dreaded. Everything he said seemed like clever things to show off how smart he was. Perhaps he was a genius, after all, his mentor had many times exclaimed about how young he was.
He was a twenty five year old teacher, that itself was extremely out of the ordinary, a teacher of a high school. Sometimes James himself wondered why he wanted to teach here, after all, high school had been a special circle of hell for him. It was probably the money, the teachers here were very well paid, and James' Doctorate was put to good use.
While his degree was in Quantum Physics, he had a masters in Education, allowing him to recieve a teaching certificate. Perhaps it was the fixing kids that he liked the most, Amelia thought he was crazy for liking his job, and sometimes James agreed, but there was a simple humility in teaching that the Doctor enjoyed.
There were different types of people in his class, the cliques, the people that would have taken out their own insecurities on others. Others that were people John glared at when he was their age. Yet, with maturity, came the strict calm of authority. There was no point in harping over simple dislike of traits when he could wait for their actions to prove their need of a detention.
As they filed in, and took their seats, John didn't meet their eyes, not just yet. The roar of talking student filled the room, texting, Snapchat, Skype..the constant need of contact. These people didn't know what it was like to be alone.
Not like me.

As he was shoved into the cell, his stunted legs somehow succeeded in keeping him upright. The Lannister turned, his eyes glaring at the guards that put him here, hating that he had to crane his neck in order to meet their eyes. This was the worst part of his deformity, being treated like a child, and a second class citizen.
Everything had happened so fast, Tyrion could hardly believe that his nephew was dead. He couldn’t deny the sick pleasure that erupted in his stomach at the knowledge the little bastard died painfully. Joffery had done enough in his short life to deserve an agony, and it was better for the land he ruled that he had died. A cruel chuckle left his lips as he realized the King had died in his parents’ arms, though none but the three siblings knew it. Tommen would be a better suited king, anyway.
However, Tyrion’s worry rested upon himself. He was clever, and extremely shrewd at that, but with Cersei’s finger pointed straight at him for the murder of her son, it was doubtful Tyrion could wriggle himself out of this one. He took solace in the fact Shea was confirmed safe, and gone from this mess his nephew’s wedding had turned out to be.
The lion turned to see the light from the grate looking to the sky—-
——and wondered what was to come.

Clara may be dying but she hadn’t lost who she was. That hadn’t faded, not yet. Still sharp eyes noted his reaction immediately and she frowned, a small expression on a tired face.
"I…I don’t understand."
The watch could save her? The tattered old thing she’d clung onto since childhood? It was just a broken heirloom, a remembrance of ancestors she’d never even known. What the Doctor was saying didn’t make sense. Perhaps it wasn’t supposed to though. He was an alien after all and she was dying, if there was any time that things weren’t supposed to make sense it was probably now.
A bubbling well spring of hope flitted through her stomach at his words - mad hope really - before it was quashed by something harder and sharper and more sudden.
"No, I mustn’t open the watch!"
The words were said automatically, like a response drilled into her from childhood and she felt almost embarrassed at how stupid they sounded.
"I mean, I can’t," she mumbled, trying to explain. "It’s broken. It doesn’t work."
Yet her thumb brushed the clasp, a gentle caress daring her to do as he asked. Just a little push. that’s all it would take.
Dark, frightened eyes looked up at him. She didn’t know what this meant but she knew - call it ‘gut instinct’ - that it was something much bigger than she was prepared for. Not that she had much choice.
"You won’t go anywhere."
It was a statement not a question. She didn’t know what this was. She didn’t even really know what he was but she felt an undeniable tether between them, the very thing that’d drawn her to him in the first place. The thing that could make her brave again now.
Her denial about the watch simply encouraged him, gave him determination, and confirmed the possibility that his hypothesis may be true. Perhaps this was not the end of their story, but another beginning. The Doctor let himself hope again, and he would fight for the chance to make Clara feel that hope too.
"That's exactly why you must open it, Clara. You think it's just a broken watch, but it's so much more. It's us, Clara. It's you and me, seeing the stars..." His hand stroked the strands of hair off her pale face, holding her cheek.
Perhaps this was why he let himself see her so many times. Why he somehow listened when she spoke, her voice rising of the rabble of everything else in his troubled mind.
"No. I won't go anywhere. I won't leave without you." His voice whispered quietly, and his lips gave her a genuine smile, one that didn't hurt like the others. "Please, Clara. You're the bravest girl I've met, you can do this. Be brave, for me." His hand stroked her fingers clutched at the watch, as if soothing the fear from them.
"You and me, remember? I gave the key to you for a reason. I trusted you for a reason. I'm not a very trusting man, you know.....I expect trust from everyone else....I ask for it anyway... The point is, I trusted you. I still do. I gave you that key because we're meant to travel together, you and me. I gave in for you, it's time for you to give in for me."

"Does the carpet match the drapes?"
“I don’t dye my hair.”
"You so did."
"You don’t have hair on your cock? Never pegged you as a manscaper."
"...."
"....?"
"Does the carpet match the drapes?"
“I don’t dye my hair.”
"You’re plenty dick-y."
"Would you like me to lift my dress and refresh your memory?"
"I didn't deserve that."
"Oi! No! That's...human...and female and all those things I don't need to know about."
