   though a smile pulls at his lips, anyone who knows                     him well enough would be able to see the concern       twisting his expression in almost an heart-breaking way.                  (because there is something wrong &                  he so hopes he can fix it - he will very                  gladly keep embracing her for hours,                                  if that helps at all.)     he keeps her close & tightly, lets her silently know he is                  there for her - & then kisses the top of her                  head, comfort coming off of him in waves.

                such ignorance should not be mistaken for naivety           she is S T U C K for this miniscule breadth of time,                        caught in an equilibrium of shouldered                             complexities wretched destructions. vehement                fingers pick carelessly curl into fabric                      ( does she hope to pull the galaxies from                    beneath his flesh ? ) her lips will curve upwards in                            a trained KINDNESS, sympathetic fingers                    tighten against worn flesh. she wants to                            MEMORISE him ( & the demons that cling to him )

                      & she wonders swiftly if her bones creak         ( ASH has meticulously smothered each crack )             impatient clicks stutter against a rose mouth               ( an insatiable need for adventure RISES )                      she slips along familiarities                           ( WOLVES will lunge if she teeters )             GUILT & bruised compassion smother dusted lungs. 

               & she longs to be consumed by intangible SMOKE.            ( an impulsive & reckless desire )                            compassion is coerced & malevolence                     tears at its throat. ( her surrender will NOT be                   gentle. ) galaxies char her lungs & there is                           desperate FRAGILITY in the way she clings.
