Hi! I'm an animation student and I have to make a short film all by myself next year. I've decided I probably want it to be about Nero, but since I'm all alone doing it I need it to be very short (7min max), so I have to focus on ONE event, or be clever about what parts of his life I use. I haven't finished writing yet but I'm pretty set on Agrippina's death. If YOU were to do a Nero-themed animation short, what would it be about and how would it be like? :D

I personally have no experience in animation, so I am not sure of what is possible or not.

Like you suggested yourself Agrippina’s death is a good story, especially if you include the previous “murder attempts”. If the event is too long, I would also suggest Nero’s take at the Olympic Games or maybe his first live concert in Naples.

Thank you! :) I’m trying two approaches, one that borders more on comedy with the many attempts from Nero’s point of view, and one that borders on drama that only depicts the last attempt starting from the boat collapsing from Agrippina’s point of view. I’m working on both simultaneously and will decide which I like best later.

I had a lecture about Nero. Like a whole semester just about Nero. We read every ancient source about him and we read lots for new history stuff about him. So from all I learnt I can say for sure: this blog is most likely run by Nero himself. (Early Christians believed Nero would be reborn at some point as the antichrist, so good luck to everyone, the apocalypse is near.)
