August 29th is a special day, as it marks the tenth anniversary of Of June. This was the first Owl City album/EP that Adam made one weekend ten years ago while his parents were away. Since the fandom is known for celebrating, as evident with the we love Adam Young hashtag that was once trending on Twitter, or Hootowl Day in January, it would be nice to celebrate such an important album release. Maybe we could even get it trending on Twitter? The Owl City fandom has been dead for some time, and we’d love to show Adam that we still appreciate him. You could create art, edits, take photos, make music, or write a story based on Of June, or share how much it means to you. I’m from the middle of nowhere in Minnesota you see, so the ocean has always been a curiously dreamy, ethereal, almost romantic thing to me. Over the years I spent a great deal of time with my eyes closed, imagining myself having the most wonderful adventures by the seaside.
