Civil rant / possible trigger warning for my content in the future
Ive been experimenting with giving some of my characters genuinely terrible traits/behaviors. I wont go into too much detail on this post but i will say that i believe it is perfectly ok to make fictional characters behave like real life villains yk? It isnβt for shock value or to excuse the behaviors and i have always thought this way; if you make an oc thats a murderer/r4p1st/pr3d4t0r, its kind of like,, expected sometimes? You write a character who is a despicable person, you expect despicable behavior. Thats not to normalize it but its a real thing that happens and i preach anti censorship. I hope this lands well, im not going to post anything thats too into detail, i might not post it at all but this is something ive always wanted to be open about? I was just always afraid of it being taken out of context but at this point I donβt really care too much, i just want to be able to explore uncomfortable topics and have it out in the open that i do not condone or fetishize them at all.
