“Of course, no way i’d not help with the halloween decorations.” 

When he had gotten the text there had been no question, he’d help. Halloween was probably his favorite holiday, and it wasn’t just because of it’s ties to witchcraft. The whole atmosphere was awesome, and it was a good chance to show off what he could do. The day itself was a little less awesome for him than the days leading up to it but that would be a problem for him in a couple weeks, not him in the moment. 

He rolled his eyes and shook his head. “Her loss. Sure violence and beer has it’s moments but what beats putting up hallows eve decor?” 

“Well, you know Lian, she’s very... focused on her work.” He shrugged, “I just wish she’d put the same amount of enthusiasm into her mission reports, it would make my life so much easier.”

Shuffling through the boxes, he located the “Happy Halloween” banner, which always felt like a good place to start. Floating up above the main window, he got to work taping one side up and stretching it across the wall to where they wanted the other side.

“Thanks again for coming by to help.”

It was, of course, Lian who had been assigned by Olivia to help him put up decorations for their annual Halloween party, but as usual, when the time came, his step-sister had been nowhere to be found and rather than incur the wrath of their rather intense party planner, he’d decided just to do it himself. Of course, once he’d taken a look at the decorations in question, it was quite clear that even with his powers, it was a two-person job, so he’d made the right call and texted one of the more reliable members of the team.
