Salutations! My name is Ethel and I am very new to mogai and coining as a whole. I am a bigender, aroflux, queer, and intersex individual. I use she/hem or masc/fem pronouns only. I’m a minor. Using tone tags is greatly appreciated though not necessary as I am autistic. Super duper hyperfixated on HK / SS.

This blog is dedicated to create and coin terms related to the game Hollow Knight & its sequel Silk Song. I’ll try my best to add alt text to my flags but as a beginner, I’d love any feedback or advice. You may send suggestions, critiques and advice in my ask box as well as ask to be on my taglist.

A term meant to describe the feeling of being a Sentinel. It is made with Moral OCD & Autism in mind, but is not exclusive. 

Voidvitiated & Voidvitiation A term meant to describe the feeling of being tainted or in the process of being tainted by the Void. It is made with dissociation, personality disorders & systems in mind, but is not exclusive. 

It centers around: — The feeling of not being in control of your own body. — An underwhelming state of hollowness or emptiness. — Sporadic episodes of grief, anger & sorrow. — Sudden impulsive choices and actions. — Feeling as though you are ‘possessed’ by a higher being. — Intrusive thoughts being expressed once you’re in this state. etc…

Void + Vitiated (corrupted) = Voidvitiated ! Void + Vitiation (the process of corrupting) = Voidvitiation !

Lost Lace Coded A term for those who are Lace Coded (link) but were or is currently tainted by Void.

Intersex Weaver (link) A flag for those who are intersex & a weaver! I ask that perisex people to not use this flag!

Note : Though all weavers are ‘female’ there could 100% be intersex, non-binary, transgender (and definitely more) weavers who don’t fully identify with the label ‘female’. Mod is also intersex.

Silkvita

A term for anyone who feels as though they are Creature spun out of Pure Silk. Anyone may use this regardless of gender. This is made with chronically ill individuals & people with generally weak health in mind but is not exclusive.

Silk + Vita (Life in Latin) = Silkvita

This term centers around: — Feeling empty or hollow due to to not being a ‘real’ or artificial bug [individual]. — Being made out of Pure Silk. — Believing you are not deserving of being a person. — Having an extremely frail body and mind. — Requiring resources to live due to being very fragile. — Parental expectations and the expected loyalty of a child. — The fear of being abandoned when too weak.

Weaverkind A neogender umbrella related to the Weavers from the games Hollow Knight & its sequel Silk Song.

Anybug may use this term as long as they feel a sort of connection to the Weavers or feel as though they are a Weaver themselves.

Weaver Terms

Weaverlike- Describes being similar to the Weavers

Weaverling - A being created out of the Weaver’s silk but can be also used to refer to young Weavers.

Weaver of [x] - A Weaver with a specific title 

Weavenest- An area built by weavers

Weavelder - Elder Weaver
