[10:38am] A startlingly low rumble rang loud in the cool fall air, the distant sounds attempting to lull you back to sleep as you idly played with strands of Jaemin's hair. You watched the curtains of your room sway with the wind that blew from a crack in the window and wrapped your arms tighter around his sleeping figure, moving the comforter to just below his nape. He sighed in his slumber and pressed his face deeper into the crook of your neck, mumbling incoherent things into the morning. You lazily grinned at this weird habit of his. You asked him about it once, but was only met with a flirtatious ‘I love to talk to you even in my dreams, huh?‘ He did that whenever he was even slightly embarrassed around you, attempting to embarrass you that is, and you found it just adorable. He stirred awake after one particularly loud rumble of thunder and didn't move for awhile as he adjusted to his surroundings, comfortable in your embrace, and later groggily propped himself up on one arm.
‘Hey, you,' he whispered, his voice raspy and drowsy with sleep.
‘Hey.' Was you reply, smiling ear to ear at him.
‘Did you miss me?'
'You were right here, sleeping on me, love.'
'But I missed you. Your voice, the feel of your embrace..' you laughed at that.
'Im serious. I missed that smile of yours too.' He confessed, his mouth contorting in that cute way of his as he squished your cheeks together.
He swore he could stay the way you both were forever. He gazed into your eyes, his own swirling with nothing other than a strong affection for you.
'So, when are you letting go,' you asked, running your fingers over the colored tape wrapped around his ring finger.
He didn't reply and instead, he kissed you. It was sweet and comforting in ways that words could never be. His hand rested below your jaw as his other hand brushed stray hairs away from your forehead, your breaths mingling. You wrapped your arms around his neck and wound your legs around him, pulling him into to you until you felt his warm chest pressed flush against yours. He pulled away to catch his breath, but it was simply impossible. You always knocked the wind out of his lungs. He moved to kiss the tender space just below your ear, so fleeting it felt like a whisper and so right it send waves of warmth radiating throughout your being.
He pulled away. 'Why are you holding your breath, sweetheart?'
You didn't even realize as you finally exhaled, a blush blossoming on your cheeks as he studied your face, smiling.
'Maybe I shouldn't do those things to you if you're almost going to pass out.'
'I was not,' you retorted, rolling away from him. He chuckled and pulled you back to him.
'I was kidding!'
You sat up and silently stared at his face, unable to hold back a soft smile as you felt you heart overflow with a liquid-kind-of love for the boy in front of you.
'What?' He asked, his face flushing under your scrutiny and his body tingling with something inexplicable. He felt so nervous whenever you looked at him, for absolutely no reason. His hands became clammy and it suddenly became hard for him to swallow. 'Did you forget to breathe again or something?'
'You're doing it again,' you whispered to yourself and buried your face in your hands.
'What did you say?'
'Nothing, nothing,' you said, lifting your head up and suppressing a laugh. You leaned over and kissed him again, relishing in the way his lips and hands felt on you as the sound of rain thundered just outside your room.
