I mean, great letter with good intentions, doesn't change that he was abusive to Little Jane and doesn't make Little Jane the red flag in their relationship for suspecting Big Jane of killing his friend which is something he was fully capable of doing.
... But the idea that this makes Little Jane the red flag is wild to me. Little Jane is not perfect but his reaction to all of this makes a lot of sense in context and, yes, was extreme but his friend just died in front of him.
Big Jane finally choosing Little Jane over the contract was a very good thing. Maybe he can go to therapy and learn to be a better person and unlearn his emotionally abusive ways! He's allowed to grow! But that doesn't retroactively undo what he did. That he loves Little Jane does not mean he didn't abuse him. It just means that he loves him and abused and realized that too late to fix it because too much had happened.
Yes, he made the treat just for Little Jane but even he admitted that it was too late at that point because it was.
No preview but I'm hoping for a time skip for once. I think they need it. Both of them. For Put's death to be investigated, for Little Jane to recover from all the damn sexual assault, for Big Jane to maybe get therapy and grow as a person... for lots of things!
