Do we have to play this game before you learn your lesson? How many more times will they bulldoze through the puzzle pieces of yourself that you've been putting back together for weeks... months even, with the stupid fucking I miss you text? Contact you right as they are about to skip town, before you realize you were ever enough to make them stay and nothing that you do will change that outcome. How many more times will he have to cancel weeklong plans the week before he moves to San Diego? How many more times will he have to tell you that he wants to see you as he is preparing to move to London before you realize you weren't that important if he waited until it was too late? And what else could he possibly want other than, I don't know, wanting to bang you for his final conquest before getting a clean break from you by literally moving across the planet. That or seeking forgiveness. For what? I don't know. Probably so they won't feel so shitty and guilty for the shitty way they've treated you. So they don't have to carry that weight around with them and they can be at peace with the fact that they made things right with you before that door closed. How many more times will you have to be left with that weight for you to carry by yourself?

And yes, just because they did that one shitty thing, it doesn't make them a shitty person. But how many more times will this have to happen before you will realize that it's not your job to forgive them. Or save them from that guilt. Or provide them with that closure. Did they give you closure when they stood you up and left you alone with no plans on a Friday night? Without a text, call or even fucking carrier pigeon?! Huh?! Or how about when they broke up with you? Providing no other information other than the "You're awesome but..." or "It's not you it's me". No. We are fucking closed for business. Yes, he cares about you, but only enough to want your forgiveness.

If it was meant to be, he would've been ready, you wouldn't have been as jealous, and both of you would've tried harder.

When will you realize "Yes, it's you. Not. Me."
