Day 366 of 365 by Neil Evans Via Flickr: One extra photograph #366, to end this 365 Photo Project, thanks to 2016 being a leap year. The Washington National Cathedral at night (long exposure) adjacent to the "Peace Cross", which was dedicated on October 23, 1898 by President McKinley to mark the coming end of the Spanish-American War. The inscription reads, "This cross is raised in the Historic year A.D. 1895 to mark the founding of the Cathedral of SS Peter & Paul. 'That it may please thee to give to all nations unity peace & concord we beseech thee to hear us Good Lord' Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone." Thanks to all who have followed along this year - whether it was one visit or many. It's been an amazing growth journey for me; I've wanted to do this for several year now. Success, finally! Day 362 of 365 by Neil Evans Via Flickr: The Ocean City Fishing Pier, home of the Ocean City Fishing Club. Per their website (oceancityfishingclub.com), they are the oldest continuously operated fishing club in the country, meeting and catching fish together since 1913. The pier is located on the 14th Street beach and extends 635 feet from the boardwalk into the Atlantic Ocean. Elevation above the water is ~24 feet, depending on the tide. Ocean City, NJ. This building was originally built in 1933 as the first chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - the Mormons - in the District of Columbia. It is now the home of the Unification Church in Washington DC. Located at 1610 Columbia Rd NW on the edge of Adams Morgan. [December 21, 2016]

Day 353 of 365 by Neil Evans Via Flickr: The Westchester in Washington DC, located at Cathedral Ave NW and 39th St NW. Designed by architect Harvey H. Warwick, Sr, construction began in 1930 and finished in 1931. The complex was intended to have eight buildings and was to be the largest apartment house south of New York City. Financial difficulties during the Great Depression only allowed five buildings to be completed, of which this is one. For 20 years, this was the largest luxury apartment house in Washington, and a fashionable address. The complex converted to a co-op in 1953. The complex still has its own dining room, market, beauty salon, barber shop, library, and guest suites. [December 18, 2016]
