Well, hello, then. And yes, it's an excellent book. 

Then maybe a little tour might be in order. [Lorcan finished up the stairs and turned a corner leading her up to the little room.] Oh — and make sure to be careful what books you pick up. Some of them have these little teeth and they like to bite from time to time if you’re not careful. Unfortunately Lysander found that out the hard way, and I’d rather you not.

Perhaps. [Neila followed Lorcan into the room and looked around at the scattered books and papers. She picked up a small book and inspected it carefully.] Is there a way to know which ones are safe to pick up?

Maybe somewhere, but not here. There’s a war a’brewing and there’s no getting out of it. Well, unless you fly somewhere far, far away. I hear America’s nice this time of year.

Well, then it’s not calm at all. It’s just normal. ‘You have to know chaos to know peace.’ Someone important said that, probably. 

B-But I've already known chaos. C-Can't I just h-have the peace?

I-I understand the s-saying. But that's s-sort of ominous. C-Couldn't it just be calm w-without the storm?
