The silence was deafening.
Siv struggled against the chains around her wrists, the motion driving nails of agony through the fracture in her arm. Each breath sent shockwaves through her crushed ribs. Siv could almost feel her father's boot still on her back, stomping down on her spine and ribs.
For once, she was grateful that she couldn't feel anything below the waist. Soon enough, her regenerative healing would kick in and her spinal cord would heal itself, but for now, she was trapped, blindfolded and gagged, in this empty, silent room, with nothing but the pain to keep her occupied.
Her head was still fuzzy, and she still wasn't sure how much time had passed. She had been unconscious from the initial injuries, and whether she had passed out from the concussion, the blood loss, or the pain was still up in the air. Judging by the slight amount of light that shone through her blindfold, she had been unconscious for at least a day, and chained up to that godforsaken chair for at least three.
She couldn't smell anything, not with her nose completely crushed, but she presumed that the room reeked of blood, piss, and shit, considering that she was a broken, bloody mess and had no control of her lower body.
Even without the gag in her mouth, she doubted she would be able to speak. The inside of her mouth was tainted with the acrid taste of blood from when her father had curb-stomped her, the injury knocking out her front teeth completely and partially dislocating her jaw, allowing it to hang loose on one side of her face.
Siv didn't know her father had been capable of that.
Before it all went down, before Gina's murder, they had been happy. The signs were there, of course, but Siv was too blinded by a normal, happy childhood to see them. Her father was strict, yes, and detached, yes, but an insane killer? If someone had told herself a few weeks ago that she would be in this situation, she would have laughed in their face.
But what had her naivety cost her? First, the devastating loss of her girlfriend, then nearly her life. Part of her was glad Gina wasn't there to see her like this, but the other half wished for nothing more than to feel her touch. Any touch, anything but this horrible, desperate pain that racked through every inch of Siv's body.
But no one was coming for her. No one was coming to save her. No one knew who she was- hell, she could be anywhere. With how much faster her father was and how long she had been unconscious, she could be in Kenya for all she knew.
Nobody would be coming to save her, and she would die there, alone, of one of many terrible deaths, depending on whether blood loss or septic shock kicked in first. There was a small chance, a small hope that maybe, her healing factor would take care of it, but judging by the injuries she had faced, no healing factor would save her.
Siv wished that maybe her father would come back to taunt her, to rub his victory in her face. Maybe she convince him to let her go, to remember that he loved her. He did love her, right? Or had that been a lie too, with his identity and his plans? If anything, it would be better than the silence. Any distraction, even a cruel one, would be better than this.
But there was no distraction. Siv had been abandoned and left for dead, with no visitors but the rats who she could hear scratching in the walls, the rats who would likely devour her corpse once she had finally succumbed to her injuries, hopefully, sooner than later.
But for now, Siv was alive, alone with nothing but agony.

Siv's solitude ended after an indefinite amount of time, somewhere between days, weeks, or even mere hours, when her father brought in yet another captive, throwing him into the hole of a prison that she'd been put in.
"You might as well take that mask off. I know it's you, Wells- or whoever you really are." A man's voice said.
"Well, allow me to introduce myself." The sound of leather against leather. "My name is Eobard. Eobard Thawne."
Okay, that's new. Siv thought to herself.
"I don't understand." The man seemed baffled by this information. "Why do you have my name?"
"Why?" Something was tossed to the other side of the room. "It's because we're family, Eddie."
"Funny, I haven't seen you at any reunions or weddings." The man, Eddie, scoffed.
"That is funny." Wells- no, Thawne. Eobard Thawne- continued. "And the reason for that is because as far as those guest lists are concerned, I haven't been born yet."
"So that's why you didn't kill me that night at STAR Labs." Realization set into Eddie's tone. "This whole thing... it's been about me?"
"Not a chance." Eobard replied. "You, my friend, are simply my insurance." A rush of wind and a crackle of lightning. He was gone.

"You know they're going to find me." Eddie taunted. Eobard had returned with the rustling of a paper bag, likely filled with food for the detective, and had jammed an IV into Siv's elbow so she wouldn't die. "And you? You're not as smart as you think you are."
"Oh, really? 'Cause I'm a genius where I come from." Eobard countered. "Imagine how smart that makes me here."
"'Cause you're from the future?" Eddie asked. "With a name like Eobard, I guess you'd have to be."
"No. Eobard is a distinguished name for a distinguished member of a distinguished family."
"Depressing to think all of my descendants are as crazy as you." Eddie muttered. An idea began to blossom in Siv's mind, the implications of which terrified her.
"Oh, no, no, no. No, the Thawne bloodline is chock-full of influential politicians, scientists, captains of industry." Eobard laughed. "Failures such as yourself are just the exception."
"And what exactly makes me such a failure?" Eddie exhaled.
"Tough question, Eddie. Where to start?" Siv could hear her father pacing the room. "How about your career as a police detective? It's spectacularly uneventful."
"Yeah. Well, we'll see."
"No, we have seen. I have seen. I am from the future. And you are the only Thawne to be all but forgotten by history. Waste of a life, waste of a man. And... Oh, no." A sigh, an a chirp of technology. "You don't even get the girl."
"What are you talking about?"
"Observe, if you will, the byline. Barry marries Iris and not you. We're just gonna have to give this ring back to Grandma Agnes. You, Eddie, won't be needing it."
Oof. Siv cringed, a shock of pain shooting down her spine. Her injuries had started to heal, meaning that she'd been down there a few days. There'd been some tingling in her feet, and she could start to move her hand again almost like it was before it was crushed, though the wrist still involuntarily curled in on itself.
If she healed enough to get out... well, at least Eddie wouldn't be getting married or anything. It'd be a pity, especially if she had to enact the plan that was brewing in her mind. If one snipped the vine in the bud, the bloodline would cease to exist. Her bloodline would cease to exist.
Siv was terrified of what that meant.

She'd healed enough over the course of the last few days to begin to struggle against the ropes. Her broken hand was still swollen and stiff, and every attempt to move the side with the dislocated shoulder shot shockwaves of pain through her entire body. Slowly but surely, she pulled the knot apart, needing minutes to hours of rest just to recover from pulling a little.
After what felt like days of struggling, the ropes came free. Siv pushed herself to her feet, then immediately collapsed back to the ground. She may have gotten sensation back, but her legs still couldn't hold her weight.
She ripped the blindfold off, giving her some view of the space around her. The pain in her dislocated shoulder screamed every time she attempted to move it, army-crawling along the ground in order to move toward the small window in the corner of the room.
She pushed herself up on the window ledge, holding up her weight with one arm as she used the other to open the window, maneuvering her broken body so it'd be leaning out the window. The Central City skyline stared back at her. So. I'm in STAR Labs.
Siv looked down. The drop to the ground was at least ten stories. Siv gulped. No. I can't chicken out now. There's too much at stake.
She had to do this, for all the people who her father would hurt if she didn't step in. No one knew him like she did, after all. Biting her lip, she sent out a silent prayer to the universe that this wouldn't end with her death, and that she would make it to her nineteenth birthday. She pushed down the fear that was holding her back, readying herself for the fall.
With her heart pounding in her chest, she closed her eyes, released her grip, and let herself fall.

Siv blinked. She looked around. She was in a room that looked like hers, but something was off. Someone sat in the corner of the room, smoking a long cigarette. It took the form of a tall woman with obviously dyed cherry-red hair, dressed in a black halter top and cargo pants. When it looked up at her, its eyes were fully black, with red slit pupils.
"I'm not dead, am I?"
"You lived." The... whatever it was extinguished its cigarette on Siv's side table. "I would congratulate you, but you don't seem particularly happy about it."
Siv rubbed her hands on her shoulders. "Yeah, not really. What are you, anyway?"
"That's for me to know and you to find out." It replied. "I take this form to communicate with you, so your feeble mind can comprehend it."
"So you're a person."
"In theory." The entity waved its hand, another cigarette appearing in it. With a quick crackle of lightning from the entity's fingertip, it ignited. The entity took a long draw, blowing smoke into Siv's face. "This choice that you're going to make is going to bring you nothing but pain. Do you understand?"
"That doesn't matter." Siv looked down at the ground. "I'm not afraid of dying. I'm not afraid of pain... I'm afraid of living. I can't go on like this forever. I'm so fucking lonely."
"Your choices are your own." The entity cocked its head, standing up. It towered over Siv, taller than even Eobard. "But you must know the consequences."
"You started the fire, didn't you? The one at the prom." Siv deflected, changing the topic.
"No. You did." It replied. "I took control to get us both out. We would have died."
"We?"
"Ah. You'll figure that out eventually. For now, it's not my place." The entity replied, cryptic as ever. "It's time for you to wake up."
The entity blew another puff of smoke into Siv's face, and when she came to, the scent of cigarette smoke still filled her senses.

So, I have recently been improving my skill in making GIF manips, and, both for some extra practice and because I like to share with my friends, I have decided to make my first-ever exchange! I’ve never done this before, so I do hope I’m doing it right, ha ha.
THE TERMS:
You make something for me, I make something for you! All you really need to do is fill out a template which I will post below, make your gift, and I will make you a few GIF manips! Here are some examples, just so you know about what you’re getting:

Your gift for me does not have to be a GIF manip! A moodboard, a playlist, some writing, whatever you can do is perfect!
I am, of course, going to be working on getting gifts done out as quickly as I can (without compromising quality, of course!), but please do respect that I have a job and a life and your gift might take a few days.
Also, I will ask you to post your gift before I post mine! Not that I don’t trust you guys, I just don’t want to have any issues with this.
I will not make edits for Wizarding World OCs, and I’m not going to make a whole list of FCs I won’t do, but please do refrain from sending me any overtly problematic actors (Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer, etc.)
Please only send live-action FCs (no cartoons or video game characters, although if you have a live-action fancast I’ll be happy to do that!), and try to only send OCs with good-quality content!
You are allowed to request twice, but please no more than that - I really don’t want to get to be overwhelmed and be slow putting out gifts because of that!

Honestly, I feel like both Solace and Peter would be the most aggressively normal Beta x Beta couple ever. Afaik Betas don't really do scenting so I think they'd probably just smell like their designated soaps/perfume/cologne/deoderants.
