Hi guys, I’m an art educator working at a non-profit that serves adults with disabilities. Through my organization, my guys and I have the opportunity to devote one day a week to teaching art at a public school. Because the school cannot afford an art teacher. Because high stakes testing and charters have robbed them of their high-performing students, budget, and even physical classroom space. They are being set up to fail as they are told to do more with less for a student body with an ever-rising share of high-risk and neurodivergent kids who were rejected by the charters.
