debunking the stuff demonprince26 is saying about peter tork since majority of it is misinformation.
Number one: âPeter Tork beat his wife over some dishesâ
In July of 1968 Peter answered some questions for Tiger Beat Magazine, where he says he once hit his wife after she threatened to leave him. NOT âover some dishesâ. And he didnât âbeatâ her either, if you search up the meaning of the word âbeatâ it states âto strike (a person or an animal) repeatedly and violentlyâ peter did not strike her repeatedly, therefore he did not âbeatâ her.
It might seem like something small but to accuse someone of being a wife beater (especially over some dishes) when in reality they only hit their wife once and after that they split, is an extremely over exaggerative and bold accusation.
(Iâm not defending his behaviour, itâs already horrible enough so I donât understand why they are trying to over exaggerate it and make it sound worse.)

Number two: âPeter was fired from the bands reunion tour for being a violent alcoholicâ
Now the âviolent alcoholicâ part wasnât included in demonprince26âs post, but asked where they got the whole âpeter was fired from a tourâ thing, they responded with this.
And all I have to say to that is that thereâs literally no evidence of this ever happening.
Itâs never mentioned ANYWHERE he had consumed any alcohol, or that he was âcausing problemsâ during a tour. He was fired from a 2001 tour cause he was out of tune. The tour that their talking about âhappenedâ in the 80âs/90âs, however there is no record of peter being fired from a tour except for the 2001 tour. leading me to think they were either lied to, or theyâre just making stuff up.

All in all, demonprince26 shouldnât accuse such rash things onto a person who isnât here to even defend themselves, especially saying things that arenât true or are extremely over exaggerated. Peter was not some 24/7 sunshine boy, but neither was he terrible enough for them to spread rumours about him and cause unnecessary online discourse. They didnât know Peter OR Mike personally, so they should quit acting like they were there to witness every aspect of their personalities and lashing out on people who just wanna have fun.
I donât mean this in a way of just wanting to attack somebody, or just causing a fuss, I mean all of this is the nicest way possible
they should let you submit real people for villains.fandom.com/wiki
You might be able to check the notes of this post and see what happened in the replies...
This went on for several more replies between Kyle and another user. Again, he makes some pretty big claims in his comments about the guys and others, but he didn't have any sources to back it up, and instead just got increasingly hostile toward the other user and OP
Again, not sharing to create any more discourse, I'm just displaying that this is a repeated behavior.
Demonprince26 is on tiktok and tried to gatekeep goth fashion/culture from this goth veteran who replied with this video

Mike Nesmith: Had an affair, regrets it immediately, spends time trying to fix it before moving on to save heartache, goes on a personal growth journey for years, tells the story honestly, keeps in contact with her the rest of her love and never stopped loving her even after moving on. Literally only thing heâs ever done and did everything to make up for it he could. Loved by most people who knew him.
People: Oh heâs so evil, rot in hell, such an evil man.đĄ
Peter Tork: Beat his wife over some dishes, went to prison for five years, treated women like objects and prizes, thought his way was the only way and told everyone else to jump in a lake, was fired by Micky and Davy from a tour because he was terrible to be around, and said the most uncalled for and horrid shit about anyone he possibly could whenever he wanted because he pretty much didnât care about anyone else that wasnât like him. Disliked by most people who knew him.
People: Aw Peter, sweet baby, never done anything wrong in his life, little angel.đĽ°
I gotta laugh whenever people say itâs sweet Mike that went to hell.đ¤ŁWe all know whoâs actually down there.
A friend asked me where I stand with the Peter-Mike thing and I guess this is all I hate to say:
I donât like Mike Nesmith â never have liked him, I donât like him as a man. I have to qualify that now: Me not liking somebody doesnât mean that theyâre bad people â he could do a lot of wonderful things for and to me. Not liking someone to me is a very gut reaction â a very visceral attitude. The first reaction to Mike was one of dislike. I donât like him, I have never liked him, and I probably will never like him.
Our tastes were much the same, our political beliefs were similar, our ideas of fun, pleasure, our intellectual capacity, our ability to talk to each other â we were very much alike. I have a great respect for Mike â his technical abilities on an instrument and the positions he took were well conceived ideas, always a posture with a motive, never emotional.
I donât like my mother. She happens to be a very nice lady â never done anything that would make me not like her â but I donât. I like my wife.
guys, I do NOT have a wife nor do I have mommy issues. I was quoting Mike in 1972 talking about Peter but switched the names
Q: âBeing that your tastes were similar, and you both were the first to leave the group, why didnât you form a group with Peter Tork?â Michael Nesmith: âI donât like Peter Tork â never have liked him, I donât like him as a man. I have to qualify that now: Me not liking somebody doesnât mean that theyâre bad people â he could do a lot of wonderful things for and to me. Not liking someone to me is a very gut reaction â a very visceral attitude. The first reaction to Peter was one of dislike. I donât like him, I have never liked him, and I probably will never like him. I didnât enjoy playing in a band with Peter, and I still donât.
