I watched Techno's Doomsday stream on January 6th this year, and it's been sitting in my head for so long. I usually see the Em Duo in it, but this time I fixated on The Rivals TM
Techno talking about how he and Dream get along because Dream is honest with him. They're doing this because they both wanted to and are better together. So many rivals in media forget to have moments when rivals get to better each other mutually. These two do it a lot and it's a very sincere relationship for these two.
Techno just likes him a green boy that's a little (incredibly) weird because he's not mean to him. Dream and Techno are actually friends on top of being rivals.

and they're very realistic about their relationship. they know how these things work for people like them (people who aren't always seen as people but weapons to be used or feared) and i think the fact they're both so clear on this really is the reason i love them so much. it is as sincere as it possibly can when it comes to such a complicated situation. they get along for that reason!
i don't know, it's just so interesting to me to see how they act towards each other, especially on dream's end and how open techno is about why he's putting the trust into dream that he is.
