@necuncscut inquired:   Moreau scowled as he clumsily fiddled tying a fishing hook to his line, wet fingers slipping and fumbling as he struggled. He eventually gave up, dropping both the pole and the hook into the water as he heard someone approaching. He said nothing to Ethan, electing to ignore the man that killed everyone else and left him even more alone, and began to make his way towards the water.

                           ethan hadn’t wanted to stick around the village longer than was necessary,  but it wasn’t like the winterses had anywhere else to go.  without anything left of worth here,  it was somewhere they could stay under the radar for a while.  even so,  he’d been trying to stay in the freshly - repaired house for the most part,  but mia said something about feeling sorry for the last remaining lord,  and,  well …  here he was.

                              “ the weather’s starting to get warmer, ”  he commented,  standing about ten feet behind moreau and putting his hands in his jacket pockets.  “ the snow was starting to melt on the road up here. ”

Moreau stopped for a moment, barely turning to shoot the man a scowl.

As if the weather mattered... It had been the same for as long as he could remember. He couldn’t have come there to talk about that.

“...What... do you want?”

There wasn’t any point in beating around the bush- and besides, he was hungry and in no mood to speak with anyone. 

     The smell wafted in his direction and made him wish he had a can of air freshener. Or a gas mask with attached oxygen, that would be perhaps best. Alas, fate was not kind to him, again. Xander thought of ways to get the creature out into the air where the breeze might be kinder to him. “Well, as any conversation would go the road goes both ways. As such, if you have any questions for me go a head and ask.” His voice hardly gave any trace of him trying to not breath through his nose too much. 

Moreau slowly squinted at the man, attempting to make out his face in the dark, but was startled by his question. Truth be told, he wasn’t sure what to answer. He said he was a guest of mother’s so he shouldn’t be rude.

The mutant opted for simply nodding his head, then pointed towards the cheese resting haphazardly on the floor. 

“I have... my cheese.”

He had eaten a boat of a careless villager earlier, but the man probably didn’t want to hear about that... 

Moreau shuffled forward, peering behind Xander.

It was dark out... That was good. He could go outside and not be seen, something cooked sounded nice.

“Okay...”

He shuffled closer towards the door behind Xander, but did his best to keep his distance- at least for now.
