For years we worked long hours, took on extra shifts, working nights, dealt with toxic work environments and we don't make a lot. Everyone doubted us and we eloped so young with just a signing of a marriage certificate at some pub, 2 friends to witness, and a marriage celebrant to officiate. We went to McDonald's after to celebrate.

We've both made so many sacrifices with food, lived with housemates in some of the worst neighbourhoods, put off health stuff, and had to sell a lot of our belongings.

In terms of furniture we are literally going to be living on just a covered mattress on the floor and a fridge for the next year until we're stable enough to afford anything else but we're so fucking happy to finally have something to call that's ours.
