thalia is not used to being loved, so her deadpan face and STIFF demeanor are to be expected. she looks to sunny, her almost polar opposite, and her lips quirk in a smile. she takes sunny's hand and brings it up to KISS her knuckles.

“ooh, but you are bloodthirsty this morning,” athaliah mumbled, placing a hand on the witcher’s chest. “as much as i would love for you to teach those men a lesson, they are drunk, and beating them to a bloody pulp would only cause problems for you. and we do not want THAT now, do we?”

“how does one go about such a TASK?” athaliah asked, whipping her head around to the sorceress. her... acquaintanceship with geralt of rivia had brought her many new acquaintances, most of them highly spoken of by cato. she had heard of yennefer in her years and admired the sorceress. it seemed her field was dominated by old men. she was grateful to find more ladies.

athaliah looks at the pillars of smoke and ash rising into the bitter black night. an outpost of witch hunters had chosen the wrong place to set up. it was quite sad, really. the sounds of their screams in the night had only soothed athaliah’s bitter heart just a touch.

“oh, of that there can be no doubt,” athaliah mumbles, glancing over at the BARD. “what might i gain from you, pretty little investment?”

thalia snorts at that, rolling her eyes. “it seems most favors are like that. it is a RARE thing to find someone who will help out of the goodness of their hearts.” athaliah brushes her hands over her bodice, inhaling DEEP. cato had told her of philippa eilhart, one of the greatest sorceresses of the age. needless to say, athaliah was EXCITED.

A LOW RUMBLE    left the wolf,   mostly in thought as he raised a brow at all she seemed to ask after he    so kindly   offered answers.   he didn’t enjoy being looked at or questioned in such a fashion    ———–    made him feel like a rat in a cage.   cornered and studied.   at least he could escape and walk away whenever he wished    (    though she seemed intent on him,   so he doubted he’d walk far    ).

his    EXPRESSION    falls flat,   rolling his shoulders as he   snorts.             ❝           you want some of my blood.    mm    .  .   no,    i don’t think so.   not unless you aim to tell me what you want to    USE IT    for.          ❞            

she mentally notes all that he says, nodding to herself as though she were intimately aware of his brothers. to be honest, she just knew that there was more than ONE witcher. it was a good bed that he saw some of them as brothers. or whatever mushy goodness people felt sometimes over what could be called FAMILY.

she hardly notices she does that. she barely notices that she has a habit of making people feel as though she is studying them. perhaps she is. cato had STUDIED her and her uncanny ability to raise things from the dead. it had been her forte. of course he would be curious.

he nods in    ACKNOWLEDGEMENT    of her name,    a sharp focus of his eyes sitting on her now as his attention pikes.   he’s been alive long enough to know names even if he didn’t trek daily in the matters of sorcererers if he could    HELP    it.             ❝           geralt of rivia,   as you know already.          ❞              

the    QUESTIONS    could be worse,   which would have meant he’d    not    have answered them at all.  he’s still suspicious as he hasn’t a clue what she    plans    to do with the answers.               ❝        the    SAME    as humans.   red.    and no,    the mutations don’t alter it.             ❞           for the wolves at least.    who knew what the other    SCHOOLS    did formula wise.

“might as well be a GIANT, and it is a shock to me that you can breathe. i am told the air is thinner in the clouds,” she grumbles with a HINT of amusement. “are your witcher brothers EQUALLY as tall?” another step brings her closer. “and your eyes. feline in nature. i wonder what in the MUTAGENS makes them this way. curiouser and curiouser. cato would have a field day with you, geralt of rivia.”

she wants to know everything about him. she would find the BARD who sings on the white wolf, but he is too FANCIFUL for her tastes. she would get it straight from the horse’s mouth. then again... perhaps she could find a way to make geralt’s horse talk. no doubt the mare would have PLENTY to say.
