public schools were HARD-WON by people who didn't want working-class children to be railroaded into the same hardships their parents had known via lack of education (and therefore lack of opportunities for higher-paying jobs)

I want to see a production where Horatio just stares at us, and screams “Now cracks a noble heart!” with the subtext “You fucking fuckers. He was better than all of you, you watched him die, and you just stood there.

Then, he just silently cries over the body. For like FIVE MINUTES. And the courtiers peel away into the wings, one by one, until Horatio is alone on stage with a lot of dead bodies. It starts getting uncomfortable. You’re thinking… is the play over? Am I supposed to go? (hamlet is just about the *only* play where the final scene is cut about 50% time, so use that uncertainty, use that ambiguity.) Maybe some people do get up to go. There’s definitely muttering. And then there’s smashing sounds coming from the direction of the box office, and Horatio looks up, with an expression like something’s gone wrong. 

But then he says, “Why do the drums come hither?” Fortinbras enters though the audience, and the play continues.

I'll feel better asking this here than just looking up answers on google because I wanna hear from real people that may understand and possibly yet not possibly have the same problem. Basically wanna hear from real people if that makes sense.

Can autism cause you to hear noises that other people cant realy hear? Nothing scary or like, ghostly, but like a subtle clicking noise in the ears or, more specifically in my case, a sort of repeated clicky, static-y noise from our plug-in fan. It hinders my sleep and seems to get louder depending on how I lay. Before we moved the fan off of the floor and onto a suitcase, my hair would get stuck in the blades and make a loud, unbearable racket when the plastic blades spun. But even checking the blades for hair and cleaning them doesnt stop this noise anymore. Its faint when I'm distracted, but when I try to sleep, it gnaws at my ears.

This may not even be an autism thing, but I'm curious because my fiance doesn't hear this noise like I do. I'm the only one that hears it. Also other noises at night have been a recent bother too: dog collars jingling, dogs scratching against and shaking doors, ok mostly dogs being annoying but that isnt the main point here because those noises can be heard my fiance too.

This fan thing. This noise. We will get a new fan soon, but is this irritation to this weird sound related to autism possibly or do I just have better hearing than my fiance does?
