100 Reasons NOT To Kill Yourself

1. We would miss you. 2. It’s not worth the regret. Either by yourself if you failed or just simply left scars, or the regret everyone else feels by not doing enough to help you. 3. It does get better. Believe it or not it will eventually get better. Sometimes you have to go through the storm to get to the rainbow. 4. There’s so much you would miss out on doing. 5. There is always a reason to live. It might not be clear right now, but it is always there. 6. So many people care, and it would hurt them if you hurt yourself. 7. You ARE worth it. Don’t let anyone, especially yourself, tell you otherwise. 8. You are amazing. 9. I’m from Catalonia. It’s a region/state in Spain, from Europe. We’ve been wanting to independize from Spain for about 6 years now, and we were just about to have an independance referdum on October 1st.

Except Spain literally dismantled our government organism, the Generalitat. ILLEGALY. They screwed over all rules and protocols.

They suspended the Generalitat’s functioning, entered people’s houses and arrested them (14 people as of me writing this), confiscated their personal and social items, and so on, And they’re sending 8,000 militar soldiers to Catalonia. We’re on ‘exception’ status. Everybody is freaking out, Barcelona is collapsed with a rush of people manifestating right now (it’s literally impossible to try to enter) and nobody knows what to do or what is going to happen.

I repeat.

WE DO NOT HAVE A GOVERNMENT. THEY TOOK FROM US THE PUBLIC GOV ORGANISM THAT WE DEMOCRATLY VOTED FOR ON 2015.

I’m shaking as I’m writing this. I literally don’t know what will happen on the next hours. I’m actually scared.

I know this isn’t about the USA or South America or Asia or any other country that people on this site particulary care for. But please, boost this.

I want people to know of our situation. I want people to know that the Spain government took away all of our rights from us, catalonian people, when we have been just trying to do a pacific referendum and let the people vote.

So I have seen all of @romanope posts about the hetalia fandom. And let me tell you,

All of it is true

As someone who has been into this fandom/show for almost 5 years this has been our lowest point EVER

Yeah, you may say back in 2012 we had a major fight with Homestuck, but you know what?

WE ACTUALLY GOT OVER OUR DIFFERENCES AND MADE AN AU ABOUT OUR FRIENDSHIP

And that’s something I absolutely adored about this fandom!! We reached out to others, we (mostly) avoided fights, we easily forgave, (unless it was major but that never happened) we were kind to one another, we supported one another, and we respected each others opinions!!

And THAT was why our fandom was so popular back in 2011-2013

In 2014? Yeaaa that was the year we started dying down. Now of course we had some AMAZING artists, fanfic writers, etc… But it wasn’t happening as often.

2015-to mid 2016 was the same, but I think towards the end of 2016 was where it all went spiraling downwards.

All of a sudden, art wasn’t getting as many notes and kind words. Rather it was replaced with little to nothing and

HATEFUL WORDS

You heard me! And same with fanfiction too!

In this fandom, we have many communities which are great!! We have the ‘ambassador’ community which lets someone talk about their home country and

THEY HAVE STARTED TO BECOME ATTACKED TOO

For what you may ask?

ALL BECAUSE SOMEONE IS ‘OFFENDED’ OVER ONE MINOR DETAIL/simple mistake/SOMETHING THAT ISN’T APPEALING TO THEM

And there is something called the ‘Google history’ community, a role-playing forum in which you have Google searches and interact with other ‘web browsers.’

I have had my fair share of experiences with this and let me tell you I received comments such as,

What a disgusting little person you are! Delete this stupid account

You are the one ruining this fandom, GET OUT!

That should say a lot. I deleted my accounts not because I was hurt, it was just an example of

Seychelles and Belgium are so cool! (Same for all the other hetalia girls) But oh nonono if you draw them wrong, DON’T villinise them in a fanfic, or talk trash about them, THE FANDOM wiLL ATTACK YOU

I saw an amazing artist who actually LIVED IN SEYCHELLES (Same for Belgium) AND DREW HER IN TRADITIONAL CLOTHING AND HAIR

It was so pretty!!!

And someone attacked her because of her hair *sigh*

She vowed to never draw Seychelles again :(

And someone drew Belgium with a bit of chub (which I adored) and someone called the artist obese and shes putting it out on skinny characters… (and i personally think of Belgium as a cute chubby person!!)

FANFICTION

If you don’t villanise a female (or sometimes male) character, don’t have a pairing of some sort, or totally twist up a Canon characters personality, then IT IS CONSIDERED BAD

Now of course, there are many acceptions but this is what it is like these days!!!

And ‘useful cristism or ‘nice comments’ are now ‘Make a character like this or else I hate your book’ or ‘hateful comments’

I have seen so many cool OC’ S such as Philippines, Mexico, Lebanon, 50 states, and so many more!

Of course, they are looked down upon as cringy, innacurate, etc..

And ask blogs are basically dead…

Straight and gay ships

Sometimes in this fandom, we are NOT RESPECTFUL OF WHO AND WHAT WE SHIP

I’m not even going to go into detail as I think ALL of us know the drill with this one
