“you appear quite suspicious hyung!”

“why is that?” johnny replied to jaemin in a monotonous and dull voice, gawking at the object in his hand.

“umm. first, you have been sitting on the porch from last 40 minutes. second it’s dark outside and third and the most incriminating addition is the life size knife you are holding! and because of you, i’ll look like an accomplice! that’s the problem.” jaemin hissed at johnny for acting so oblivious. at this point he wanted to pull all his locks just to get a reaction out of him. but alas!.

“i’m gonna be dead anyway so what’s the point in mundane things” jaemin rolled his eyes at johnny’s words.

“she’s not gonna kill you. noona is an understandable person and besides i’m with you, so what are you so afraid of!” 

“get a wife and then talk to me.” johnny muttered in a dull voice.

“she’ll forgive you man!” jaemin tried to reason with him.

“yeah!!!”  for the first time in the last 45 minutes, johnny turned himself towards jaemin to face him. “ you seriously think so!! try telling her that i bought an expensive kitchen knife with all the groceries and dinner money just because the little salesgirl with gift of gab persuaded me and i being a nice human being spent all the money at this. she’s gonna slice me with this very thing!” johnny finally closed the elegant wooden box, sounding disappointed in himself. 

but jaemin was having hard time controlling his laugh by now. the whole scenario sounded even more funnier than witnessing the actual happening.

“you are going down with-

before johnny could complete his sentence, the creaking of the door caught his attention.

“how long have you been standing there baby?” johnny questioned you hesitantly ,eyes focused on your pregnant belly.

you flashed him a bright smile before answering. “ long enough to inform you that you both are on fast tonight!” you giggled while going back inside.

“tell her you got her name carved on it and that too for free. maybe she’ll-

the little boy giggled as you tickled the soles of his tiny feet. you were just as happy as the baby you were babysitting until you felt something on your face.

“what the f–heck jeno!” you huffed at your boyfriend sitting on the floor in front of you. And between his legs was a mountain of paper balls, one of which had been thrown at you.

“i’m playing. that’s what i’m here for right!” jeno explained his actions by a shower of several balls on your face. 

you groaned at him in annoyance whilst the boy on your lap clapped gleefully, expressing his sudden happiness.

“awwww ! come here baby.” jeno picked the boy only to make him sit on his lap instead. “here , take the balls and attack ajumma with them!” jeno instructed the baby , placing balls in his hands and flinging them towards you. the balls were now forgotten as something more important took your attention.

“who did you call ajumma jeno?” you inquired, indirectly advising him to amend his mistake.

“do you think there is someone else here other thannn” his snarky reply turned your face into a twisted one.

“don’t fuck wi-

“shhh! there’s a baby here!” jeno gave a fake warning, covering boy’s ears dramatically.

“oo ok fine!” but you weren’t the one to back out.

“you are Sugar Honey Ice Tea lee jenooo. give me the baby and get out of here!” 

he didn’t go anywhere. 

instead a paper ball war broke out in your tiny living room.

7:21 pm: enemy mafia!you tail your target, mafia!jaemin, through the crowd at the fundraiser event, your teammates urging you through your earpiece not to lose him. which isn’t going to be easy, considering how tall he is when he stands up straight, towering over most of the other guests clad in their best formalwear.

your own dress, the only one of its kind, screams opulence at every angle, embracing your figure just right. matching stilettos on your feet, you silently thanked your supervising trainer back at base for making you prepare for combat in heels from early on in your training days. your dress, however—you aren’t sure they’re going to make it through the rest of the night. if you aren’t careful, it would expose the thigh holster holding your knife, and you figure you might have to cut it in order to be able to pull off efficient footwork and kicks, but that isn’t at the top of your priorities at that very moment.

jaemin weaves his way through the guests until he reaches the corridor leading to the restrooms. you slow your pace, with him in plain sight and in a slightly compromising location for you, should you be seen following him into the male restrooms.

you take a glass of champagne from a passing waiter’s tray, and keep your eyes on jaemin’s figure over the rim of the glass as you bring it up to your lips. “is he just going to piss, or is there something of importance in the toilets?” you mutter into your earpiece as he lets himself in.

“don’t think so,” your teammate replies after referring to the blueprint of the building structure, “the vents in there are too small for him to fit through anyway. no, i think he’s just pissing.”

“right,” you say, “i’m going in.”

another month, another day but same routine. 

you were so used to having hospital coffee that it being tasteless never bothered you anymore.

nothing bothered you anymore though. since the day KUN closed his eyes after that huge accident, your soul and body had shut down completely. the wedding band on your finger was nothing but a dreadful reminder that you might lose something that you cherished for so long!

it’s been a year since the struggle began. you couldn’t say how he felt being living on that mechanical device or did he even felt anything? anymore!

He slightly tilts his head towards his left and pushes your face more into him to deepen the kiss. His tongue grazing through the underside of your mouth. 

He breaks the kiss, but his hands never left your cheeks. His forehead is resting on yours, a smile is ghosting his lips but his eyes are closed. He whispers your name sweetly causing a feeling of sparks igniting inside your chest. You rest your hands on his shoulders, gripping on it for your dear life and to calm your nerves. 

You can see the slow flutters of his eyelashes and how it cast a hollow shadow on his cheekbones. His breath slightly fans your face and you find yourself ticklish. He finally opens his eyes and how it holds such light, alive like the galaxy. He gives you a smile, “I really missed this.”

lee haechan’s pride is by far his most vexing trait. he makes it his underlying mission to appear superior through any means possible, and the worse part is that he earned it.

Haechan's jaw is clenched and he swallows in dry once his knees meet the floor, he avoids Youngsoo's gaze but not because he's ashamed - his focus is on you, whose face is contorted with agony, clutching onto your wounded thigh with the hand that's not broken.

"Eyes up here." His taunting is loathsome. It's clear that Haechan hears his command by the way his teeth clench, fists shake with rage, so tight his nails dig into his palm. "Eyes up here or the next shot's in the head."

He does so eventually, looking up at him through the layer of lashes.

𝙨𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙮 :: life had never been easy. especially when you’re an outcasted demon endured to slavery under the false gods. so when he finds an innocent human who seems to be in a very condition than him, well what else can he do but try to get them to change places with you? he is branded by the sin of envy after-all.

Golden hell. That’s what Mark called the place he was placed in, where the false gods who had accused him of being overly jealous of the world around him and too willing to trade and sacrifice the gods and their “high” and “mighty” morals all for a lick of freedom. It was when mark, eyes dazed with wonder and with the yearning to learn more about the world that he would so often see through the cracked walls of the overly bright and heavenly place that he was caught in the act of wishing to trade places with one of the humans. And there’s this thing about the gods, that the world, teachers all preach about. They tell you about how wonderful and forgiving they are, they tell the children who sit cross-legged with no better understanding of the world around, eyes open wide, mouths agape and open hands grasping onto anything around them as the adults spew on lies and more lies about the gods and their perfection. The thing about gods is that they aren’t gods at all. The gods are false, and Mark found out quickly when he was cast out for not wanting to become one of the false gods. Cast into the barren land in which he stood now. 

The realm in which mortals come through when their souls have left their bodies, and it is up to Mark to tell them that they haven’t been sent to heaven no matter how small of a crime they have committed. It is mark’s job to look at the soulless bodies and tell them about the world that they have entered. The world that greets them, the world that envelops Mark in its dark claws buried them deep into him, a permanent brand on his collarbone of the outlines of a serpent to represent his sin. 

Souls come into a barren desert. There isn’t fire being sprung from crevices in the ground, no castle made out of ebony and skulls from those who have tried to come to save their loved ones, something that mark had never understood. Instead, when the souls enter the realm of envy, they are met with barren and dry air, something that would suffocate you and make your throat run dry to the point where you want to claw at it just to get some sort of air in. The realm of marks sin, which has condoned him to a life of hell and biding, everyday greeting and every day guiding the souls to the torture chambers that is the realm itself make him want to rip his skin out, claw his way out of the sand that surrounds every crevice every hole around him. If he thought about it, as he often had all those years ago when he had been first sent into the golden hell it was genius. The perfect hell for one who wants to take from others, for the boy who just wanted a lick of freedom a taste to the outside world from which he had grown up and take and become everyone else around him. The generosity behind his personal hell was that there was no one to compare himself too. No one to take and bargain an offer so that he could have their lives. That is until the golden specks on the shattered mirror began to part, and slowly did the gold and slithering snakes that hung at his sides begin to show him a shape a body. A new realm. 

ps [ 14:17 ] You loved your shared home with Jaehyun and Sungsoo. It was always full of love and care. Your home was always clean and pristine, but it lacked character. If anyone ever came into your home, they’d think that any family of three could be living there, which upset you. Upon talking to your best friend, Jisoo, about your predicament, she suggested to get some family portraits taken and kindly offered to take them for you at a special “best friends” discount. You happily agreed, scheduling a date and time that fit both yours and Jaehyun’s schedules.

After discussing the plans with Jaehyun, the two of you quickly pulled together some outfits that the three of you could wear to your photoshoot. Ultimately, the two of you decided that you would all wear brown outfits for the photoshoot to compliment the white and brown interior of your home. Jisoo also suggested that the three of you get your portraits done in a beautiful grassy field that was near her apartment stating that the flowers had just bloomed and it would be a perfect backdrop for your portraits. You grew giddy as the days passed, excitedly waiting for the day you could finally put something in your house that would really add a personal touch.

When you arrived at the site of your photoshoot, Jisoo touched up your outfits and makeup, going the extra mile to make sure that you would get the perfect portraits. Jisoo digs through her makeup bag, pulling out a “your natural lip color, but better” colored lipstick, perfecting your lips.

“Momma, what’s that?” Sungsoo asks, tugging at the hip of your dress.

Jisoo squats down in front of the boy with a smile, but Sungsoo hides behind your legs, still holding on to your dress.

“This is lipstick, it makes your mommy pretty!” Jisoo smiles.

“But my mommy’s already pretty,” he pouts.

“He’s not wrong,” Jaehyun winks.

You can feel the heat rise to your cheeks at their compliments.

“Wanna put some on? It’ll make you look so handsome!” Jisoo exclaims.

“Really?” He inquires.

Jisoo nods. Finally, Sungsoo comes out from hiding behind your legs to stand before Jisoo.

“Make a kissy face like this, baby,” you demonstrate, puckering your lips.

Jaehyun takes the opportunity to place a peck on your lips, pulling away with a smirk. The two of you giggle before watching Jisoo apply a small amount of lipstick to Sungsoo’s lips.

“Wow, bud! You look so handsome!” Jaehyun cheers.

Sungsoo blushes with a giggle, running to you, raising his arms to you. You promptly pick him up, carrying him at your hip.

“Wow, the three of you are such a beautiful family. Great genetics all around! So when am I gonna be the godmother of baby number two?” Jisoo teases.

You and Jaehyun can feel the heat rising in your cheeks at the question, Sungsoo looking at the two of you with wide eyes.

“Another baby?!” Sungsoo asks excitedly.

“Not now, baby. Maybe later,” you chuckle.

“I wanna be a big brother!”

“We’ll see what we can do about that, bud,” Jaehyun laughs.

“princess,” haechan whined as he tugged on your sleeve. “what should I do?” you sighed as you turned away from your laptop and stared directly into haechan’s puppy eyes. haechan had barged in to your room once his vlive ended and started ranting to you about whether or not he should have abs or keep his baby tummy. “i don’t know channie, it’s up to you.” you replied tiredly, all your school assignments had been making you sleep deprived.

“but princess the thing is I want to have abs but czennies all wanted me to keep my baby tummy so help me choosee.” you giggle slightly despite your sleepiness and gestured to the bed, wanting to cuddle with haechan. he happily obliged and jumped onto the bed, his arms were outstretched as he waited for you to climb into his embrace. having haechan’s arms around you felt so comfortable and you nearly fell alseep, you had totally forgotten about your boyfriend’s dilemma until he whined again.

“personally, i like your baby tummy.” you said while poking his tummy. “but, i wouldn’t mind if you had abs too.” haechan groaned at your indefinite answer. “that’s not helping me, princess.” he mumbled under his breath. you laughed at your adorable boyfriend, finding this whole situation highly amusing.
