“Pfft…” Marie broke into laughter. “Wow you should see how red your face is. Red herself would be jealous.” She grins and leans closer, whispering softly onto Rise’s ear “You know better than those words are for your ears only, and under the sheets~” she pulls back and winks at Rise as she keeps dancing to the song’s rhythm, holding Rise firm, but gentle. 

“Oh really officer? what are the charges against moi?” Marie asks, and gets her answer in the form of a kiss. A kiss that got her to stop dancing, still as the moon above. Lightly, she pulls Rise closer to embrace her more as she kisses back softly, moaning slightly.

“S-Seriously, stop it...! Sheesh, you’re getting better at this...” She couldn’t remember the last time she made her face so red. She made a good point, though, to an extent. Rise was about to answer her question but was stopped by another kiss.

“Oh I can be very cheesy.” The young man said rather playfully, accepting her gentle kiss upon his cheek as well. God those always felt great..her kisses always made him happy in a way he simply could not explain. He began to ponder on the next course of action, he slips his coat from his shoulders and tucks it right in front of her own upon the hanger. After this motion, he began to stretch his muscles and thought some food would be perfect before breaking the news towards the others.

“Food’s always first.” He could not have been happier when he spoke those words. Being a firm believer that everything is better once a stomach is filled. Slowly Akira made his way towards his bride-to-be and wraps his arms around her frame from behind and peppers her cheek with kisses. “Just before you go though, I’ll cheat and grab some dessert.”

Stretching her arms a bit from the long ride home, she nodded in reply but was caught right when she was about to take a step towards the kitchen. She laughed in delight and melted in his embrace. Then she turned her head to give him a well-earned deep and meaningful kiss on the lips. “I love it when you do that. Make sure you have enough room for the main course.” She winked and pulled away.

“Cleaner..” He had to think about that one, he would admit that his room might be clean now but it’s only because of his rather demanding feline back at home who probably would lecture him about being so late. But, he wasn’t thinking of any of that right now, his mind was still blown that he was actually in the room of a pop idol. Granted she was more of a star to him. “I actually live alone..in an attic.” The young man just realized how sad that sounded..living in an attic. He could only hope that she didn’t think any less of him.

“A soulmate huh.” A little chuckle left his lips rather amusingly, his eyes glance at her once more to catch the blush. “I think it’s cute you think we’re soulmates.” Akira wouldn’t deny the spark between them that just seemed right, in fact, he was going to come back to that subject until she mentions Karaoke. Eyes opening wide with excitement. “I love karaoke, I happen to hold a top score at one of the bars on Central Street. But to be singing with you…that would be a dream come true. Don’t worry about the time either, I’m sure I’ll get home at midnight, the old man wouldn’t even notice I’m gone.”

“Oh... is that right? I’m sorry. I had no idea.” At first, she titled her head in mild confusion and now she felt bad for him. “W-well, you’ve got a cat to keep you company, right? That’s a plus in my book!” Trying to cheer him up over his living conditions was honestly pointless since she had an entire luxurious apartment for comfort. “Uh, it’s probably best to leave that alone, though. Wouldn’t want to ruin the mood.” Short nervous laughter escaped her lips as she tugged at her collar for a moment.

The masked vigilante turned to see his newly acquired comrade thief safe and sound. Not even he could have kept his smile from forming upon his face, however, that smile soon vanished by the sound of screams. People seemed running out of the mist, and nothing but a large barrage of shadows chasing them, and some still retained..some of their human form. The hybrids seemed human enough however their steps left a hint of dark tar behind. Upon instinct Joker runs towards Siren, wrapping one arm around her and lifting them off upon the rooftop of another nearby building to get a better view of the area. He could not see it but there were hundreds of shadows chasing these people and these shadows were lead by one man that remained furthest behind them.

It looks like this night was far from being over for the two. The plan earlier was to leave and lick their wounds and try tomorrow but by the looks of things, there might NOT be a tomorrow. There were so many shadows and more than half of his energy depleted..just enough for two and three small spells and after that, he would be running on fumes at that point. The thief pants, his exhaustion being displayed, before a single gloved forearm wipes the sweat from his brow. “Do you see anything Siren..maybe just One big one that would be the leader?” Like in any form of warfare once the commander was taken out the troops would begin to lose morale.

Joker had only hoped such tactics would work against whomever is controlling them. In the meantime his eyes focus on the ground, the people seemed faster than the shadows now, fear propelling them past the point of exhaustion but Joker’s fingers were clasped on his mask ready to summon his persona to help them if needed..exhaustion or not.

Their happy reunion didn’t last long, it seems. Hearing the people’s screaming only sent shivers down her spine as she dared to look at them, transforming into shadows and becoming way too gross to even consider them humans. “This is getting worse and worse by the minute...” Siren couldn’t help voicing her thoughts on the matter with a skeptical frown on her face. While she was swiftly hoisted up into the air again, she held onto the thief tight and finally let go, kneeling down in order to glance at the misty town.
