I Told You So
Small little thing wrote of Cerene very quickly. She’s very nice
Cerene Fae + Ade Fraire
--
The ceiling was blank and boring, the room was dim with cloudly sunlight barely shining in on the ordinary days. Cerene laid on her back, on the bed, counting the seconds going on. Cerene was..... lonely. She kept getting stuck on 37.... it had been 37 weeks. Close to 9 months, since Chickpea had left. That night stung clearly in Cerene's head, and something about the gloomy day triggered the emotions.
"She's not coming back y'know."
Cerene leaned up, Ade was at the doorway. The older man's hair was knotted up, strands of grey hair was clearly visible against his darker black, almost purple feeling, hair. Cerene frowned, signing. She brought her knees up to her chest, leaning on them as she wrapped her arms around her legs. She stared at the wall, her eyes dropping, perhaps from sadness? Loneliness? God her heart did ache. "She will. Just not today."
-
Cerene ran her hand through the ferals clotted hair, her head rested upon Cerene's lap. It pained Cerene to look down at her, seeing the woman in so much pain. She hadn't even been back for a week and now she was stuck in bed, the threat of infection laying thicky in the air. The broken feral had been called on idiot for allowing this. It hurt Cerene what was being said, but they all did have a point. Not an idiot, but surely foolish to lie about a wound that serious.
Though Cerene didn't dare to take her eyes off the large feral. She watched the steady downfall of her chest, waiting in caution for the moment she may have to get up and get her help.
Cerene didn't notice the man standing at the door.
She looked up, her eye brows furrowing as he looked at her with surprise. "I told you so Ade."

Philip Ballew + Paten
.
Paten squirmed as Ballew held tightly onto the back of their neck, pushing their head down to his level. Sweat dripped down their forehead, awaiting whatever punishment Ballew had set for them
