I really do think that while Geto probably went through a more self conscious reflection about his sexuality because of how inside his head he lives and how self reflective he is, Gojo was more of a “it’s whatever” or “I don’t fully understand what this is but I like this and don’t care” case. I do think that all those memes and edits of “it’s not gay to kiss your homies goodnight” and “no homo”, even though a joke, are so wide spread for a reason. Now this is something I have been dwelling on, and I don’t know if I’m over analyzing, but I often think about how Gojo grew up around conservative values, even if he later rebels against them, he must have been shaped with a heteronormative thinking as a kid. So this can be a little bit of denial/internalized homophobia. But it’s also interesting that on the other side, he was so unsocialized as a kid that he probably never really understood how gender worked with people his age, so he doesn’t have a clear notion of it and that’s why gender doesn’t really matter to him in terms of attraction. I don’t know. Just a thought. I think there is nothing set in stone in canon except that Gojo is not straight, and that is very open to interpretation.

I’m sorry for the delay in this update, I moved to another country and I’m still settling so I’m on a little writing break but I still edit a little when I can. I feel like that comment of the noodles was Gojo’s way to try to get in without pushing Geto too much but Geto just doesn’t let him in, and it’s sad.
