Some wives react by being cold until you apologize. Hopefully, your wife reacts like this.

A numbeer of very uncomfortable minutes, or many minutes later, at least this problem is solved

This one might be a little controversial.

In a female led Domestic Discipline relationship, I believe that sometimes she should really let him have it. Not physically though, he should already be getting all he needs (or can handle) there.

I mean occasionally he should feel your displeasure at his misbehavior like a lightning bolt. Tear him up and down verbally! Make your body language frightening! Put a finger in hubby’s face and tell him exactly what he needs! Be extra harsh, even if the occasion does not demand it… but just because he needs the reminder.

Men respect power, that’s the way the world is. Every once in a while, he may benefit from seeing a “show of force.” He’s not (really) a little boy, do not feel bad about scaring him. Just show him, for certain, who is in charge. It may be counterintuitive, but show him that you can turn on the wrath, and he is going to feel safer, more nurtured, and more determined than ever to please. He already knows you are a powerhouse in his life… remind him.

@hillbillyhubby worries that this might be controversial but sometimes an 'angry' spanking is what is called for! Safety issues, first off, putting yourself in danger, might get you this:

But in a case of extreme disrespect, especially in front of others, it might need to be communicated just how unacceptable that is!

Or sometimes the annoying behavior just doesn't stop, even after repeated warnings and pleas.

I'm sure there are other situations and reasons that require IMMEDIATE action.
