Neither of them could really explain what had happened or why; it’s just that lately, there had been a tension growing between them, a sense of lust building that had originally made them both uneasy. They had both danced around it, not wanting to acknowledge the elephant in the room, but….
The dam had cracked yesterday when they had gone to the beach together. They had both worn very racy bikinis and while they appreciated the looks they’d gotten from the men in their lives and the men on the beach, they both knew they’d worn their teasing swimsuits for the enjoyment of the other woman.
Today they’d gone for a walk in the sprawling grounds behind the hotel, both glancing at each other, both hinting and shyly touching the other’s hand. It was when they got to the bridge in the middle of the park that it happened, that the dam broke.
The younger had turned to the older and whispered, “I don’t care any more. I need this,” before reaching out and starting to kiss her.
The older, surprised by the younger one’s passion, kissed back, even leaning against the railing of the bridge and starting to work a leg around, grateful to feel the younger’s hungry and greedy hand grabbing at her ass.
Whatever else happened on this vacation and afterwards, they knew - they were more than just sisters now.
