Grow In Grace and Knowledge.

In this letter, we are admonished to not be carried away by the errors of lawless people, rather we should grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Light shines on in the darkness, and the darkness did not understand it or overpower it or appropriate it or absorb it [and is unreceptive to it].

Commentary

To follow Christ is to let the Son shine through you. We’re ordinary people meant to radiate God’s extraordinary light.

Every frustration is a chance to live differently — with hope, love, and light that cuts through culture.

We only shine when we stay connected to Jesus. Apart from Him we’re an unplugged bulb: present but powerless. Daily time in God’s Word is how we stay lit.

You don’t need to be a spotlight to matter. In deep darkness, even a small flame stands out. One sliver of Christ’s light through your life can shift someone’s whole day.
