Many moons ago I wore these shorts & began to repair them like the hooligan I was …. Yesterday post hosting my monthly #beautifulsoulsbrunch I decided to treat myself to some me time & repair these beloved shorts - see I looked far & wide for a new pair but nothing fit me right - so I pulled them out and patched them up with some old fabric from another beloved piece of clothing …. 4 hrs later I have a new super strong pair of shorts - that fit me well & serve their purpose with many pockets to store my things …. This action took me on many philosophical trains 🚂 of thought, much reflection on all the times I sewed, asked my dad, mum or some older relation to fix something for me as I was “too busy” … also back to when I went sewing classes as a hood after school 🏫 excited as neuron to learn a new style of stitch to enable me to make what evee my imagination allowed me ….. Reflecting on all these joys right now was the most valuable time I spent with my insides of late … life has been stressful & super challenging me (I even told a friend I’m making 💎 diamonds - please don’t take it personal) so what it meant was Would ANYONE else like to learn a few stitches to help mend their favourite things or whip up some magical bear, clothing or what not ??
