   Children were so easily entertained. Wintertide could see this with how her own foals, but seeing it was the same with baby dragons was… intriguing. Of course, the thought was only now crossing her mind just where this baby’s parents could be. It was dangerous for something so small to be out on its own, dragon or not.

    Not to mention the danger that could befall HER for interacting with it.

   Her tail swayed and whipped again, trying to keep just out of reach of the young dragon. Wintertide went as far as to give her a small, yet not painful, slap on the head.

   ❝I think that’s enough, little one. Now, why is a baby out here all by herself, hm? Never know what dangerous creatures could be lurking nearby…❞

“No one will come looking for you here, isn’t that what you wanted?”

    “Wha-?”He was THROWN off briefly when the little lizard started to bark. But upon closer inspection, it looked to be one of those DRAGONS that he had seen on the magic box. That’s right! There is a show that had them in it! It wasn’t watched by anyone in this household (well…. with the exception of Rhino), but the commercials always advertised it. At least this one was smaller and less threatening. Adorable even. It must be a pup. “Woah, woah, back up there. Don’t touch. It’s a called a collar. Penny gave it to me!” 

   Wintertide had never seen a baby dragon before. She had heard of the species of course and how dangerous they could be, but she didn’t think a baby would be… adorable. It liked her tail, wanting to play with and catch it like a feline after string. For several moments the kirin merely looked down at the baby creature. Her eyes gave no indication on what was going through her mind; completely unreadable. 

   It would be easy to just STOMP on its head and kill it. However, her maternal instincts may have been kicking in when looking into those emerald eyes staring up at her so innocently. She blamed her own children for this.

   So without saying a word, her tail swayed slowly to and fro, tempting the dragon to catch it.

   She would humor her… For the moment.

       ‘ SHINY-SHARPS ARE NOT SAFE FOR YOU! ’ With an angry growl, he punches at the crate and knocks it aside with his nubby talons! To any human, it sounded like he was just making angry cat sounds!

        ‘ WHICH BIG-ROUND? PEG-LEG? ’Berk was full of people who could fit the description big-round. Unfortunately so could many of them be the type to leave knives hanging around for baby dragons to touch! Well, at least he knows it’s not TWO-HEAD’S riders …

     HE SWIFTLY TURNS HIS HEAD TO THE LEFT, towards the open crate of knives that had been so conveniently placed where his niece could access them. A pause of his own, before he cries out:

      ‘ WHO PUT THIS CRATE OF KNIVES HERE? ’

Beaming at the matching pair they were, Vinyl gently rested a single hoof against her chest before reaching out to the dragon and carefully touching the tip to her shoulder. ‘Same’. But, clearly they couldn’t keep such a fabulous fashion statement to themselves.

Briefly trotting in place, the mute pony crouched down, head jerking back as she gestured to her backside. A silent invitation for the dragon to climb on so that they may proudly parade through Ponyville and show everypony what a pair they were.
