My home will be a home with no loud anger, no explosive rage, no slamming doors or breaking glass, no holes punched into the walls, no name calling, shaming or blackmail. My home will be gentle, it will be warm. No fear, no hurt and no worries. I may come from a broken and twisted place but I will build something whole and safe.

If you ever reached out for help and it went badly, I want you to know that was ENTIRELY a reflection on the people you reached out to and not on you. You deserved help. You deserved support. You deserved to heal. It may still hurt if you were not treated with that level of love and compassion and you are entirely allowed to feel that way, but do not let it reflect on how you feel about yourself and the support you deserve.

My heart aches for this world tonight. My heart aches knowing there are children sobbing for their parents, families separated, homes being destroyed, and wars raging. Sometimes I think I can hear the earth scream out to God, begging for mercy. What a weight will be lifted when Christ comes and rescues the hurting. He will wipe every tear away, comfort every broken heart. I can’t wait until that day.

one day i’m gonna write a book called How To Heal When The Church Has Hurt You and idk if it’s gonna sell lots of copies but it’s gonna help a lotta people cope and i think that’s more important

Sometimes my heart gets hit by something that knocks over those worries & pains I have put on high shelves.  It’s hard to see them again, especially so unceremoniously on the floor. I see there is nothing special or worth keeping about them. I’m glad God helps me pick them up, since He always asks to take them off my hands. I should take Him at His word every time.

Let's switch out the "disabled people are just as capable" campaign with "disabled people are just as valuable." We shouldn't have to perform, achieve and produce on the same level as abled people to be considered worthy.

Taking the lid off a pot that’s boiling too much wont solve the problem of the heat being too high, but it will release the pressure so you’ll have time to get the heat under control before everything inside the pot explodes
