She woke up different.

There are so many small nuances to the words written for that cat, and Don Messick’s awesome performance of it, it’s fun to try and puzzle out what words would have been chosen for the cat’s lines. “terribly” or “terrible”? “buy her” or “buy for her”? “from” or “with”? That’s the brilliance of voice actors: give them a line and they’ll say it the way it would go naturally for the character.

After going in and getting a feel for why the artists chose these designs, went with those colors, I like these characters all the more.
