EasyJet Advertisement Campaign (Mockup)
This is an advertisement for EasyJet designed as a collective, the initial thought process behind the advert is based on the cheap factor that EasyJet uses as their USP.
We used orange as the colour scheme as its bright and eye catching at the same time official colours of EasyJet, to sell the “Cheap factor” we deliberately made it humorous featuring the teddybear with a tagline which says “Teddy not included” emphasising EasyJets cheap price flights.
Social Presence
This is the social presence for my character Cairo Colbert, the Instagram plays a big part in my Transmedia project, the Instagram account acts as a timeline to run along with the short film, the photographs are posted in order to show key events with the short film and story.
Visual Image
This is the visual image for my Transmedia project, I decided to art direct the photograph in this perspective as it gives the audience the first person feel, this image elaborates on the feeling of being “Fearful”, this image sets the tone for both the story and short film.
VW AD (Mockup)
This is the VW AD for my Transmedia project, focusing on the VW ad layout I made sure that the font along with the image and copy is proportionate. I had a clear focus that my ad campaign was going to be minimalistic and clear, the image sets the tone for the copy and logo which adds to the overall appeal of the VW ad.

Transmedia Project
I have really enjoyed working on this project especially within the creative tasks, our brief was to devise a fictional character, he or she should be a new undergraduate on the BA Advertising course at LCC using Transmedia.
My fictional character is Cairo Colbert, he lives in a disadvantaged family finally realising that his dreams are to study at LCC on the BA Advertising Course, during his days as a child his mum passed away however she left a box for him, there were three pieces of paper, each started with letters of LCC...
The mystery continues as he becomes an undergraduate on the BA Advertising course at LCC.
Neighbourhood Poster Design
Our group has finalised our poster design, it features our Agency logo along with our on- going theme of Black and White, The ethos behind our brand is Equality • Success • Happiness.
We want our audience and target market to know that we are unique in our own way referring back to working within the “Neighbourhood”. I like this poster design for its simple yet elegant layout.
Our agency logo
This is the final outcome for our agency logo, we have decided to go with the Black and White colour scheme along with a graphical design rather than going down the corporate route. The stick figures represent the members within the agency, and the (H) doubles up as an office to add originality and style to our logo, keeping it simple and sharp.
LAUNCH Reflection
Self Evaluation
It has been tough but enjoyable term working with different students from very different backgrounds both in terms of skills and cultural differences. I have learn’t more about about myself as a creative and a team player.
The project brief was to create our own advertising agency and prepare a presentation for pitch at the end of term 1. We ended up calling ourselves Neighbourhood representing the diverse backgrounds of each group member.
Nestlé Takes a Beating on Social-Media Sites
Nestle had a two weeks attack from environmental activists using social media to wage war against the company over it’s purchases of palm oil for us in their candy bars and other products, Kit Kat etc.. Many protestors have been posting negative videos on YouTube, posting on their Facebook page and Twitter with claims that Nestle is contributing to destruction of Indonesia’s rain forest.
Nestle started dealing with the comments on their Facebook page with friendly replies understanding from the consumer and audience, Nestle also went as far as telling Facebook users it would delete their comments from their Facebook page if they included the altered logo. This only incited the protesters. Protesters swelled to more than 95,000.

Week 1 Induction to ISHE, First Project
We have been given our first project, an introduction to Transmedia, using all the mediums within the Transmedia method to create a fictional character. He or She should be a new undergraduate on the BA Advertising course at the LCC.
The whole project will be decided into 5 different Transmedia’s including;
WRITTEN, VISUAL, FILM, SOCIAL MEDIA, ADVERTISING.
To start of this project I will start by generating ideas around film and visual media, which should give me a clear idea to move onto creating the ad for my character and also the short story, social media accounts, I will be researching for script writing, past advertising campaigns and also photographs to help with generating the character.
TRANSMEDIA
Earlier this week we had ISHE Workshops, during the workshop our task was to create a Transmedia campaign for a new 90s channel from Nickelodeon. The ad campaign needed to include all the media platforms.
We started researching into the brand and then demographics within the brand, we quickly found that creating an ESP within our ad campaign was important, we involved our idea around adopting a character from the channel and creating that into a game where young children can get involved. Using advertising in magazines we also thought of the idea of creating adoption forms which immediately creates a connection between the young children and the characters from the channel.
Our concept is based on being minimal and effective, this workshop has taught me that creating a Transmedia ad is all about the connection with the audiences.
Differences in ESP and USP
In advertising we want the product to be different, this is why we give the product the USP (Unique selling point) or a ESP (Emotional selling proposition).
Difference;
USP: What differs your product from another>> Functional
ESP: Brand value based on emotion and imaginary>> emotional
Studies show that USP is not enough for a product to be unique itself, it should be combined with ESP to achieve an effect on a long term campaign, this way it is possible to create a relationship with customers.

A Look into the World of Transmedia Storytelling and Alternate Reality Games
In a search for similarity, one particular aspect of the human psyche stands out. This is our underlying desire for beauty, which differs from person to person. Regardless, we are all compelled to seek it out in life. And when we find it, a feeling of content resonates within.
Yet, when you examine the prominence of books, movies, and television shows, all of which offer an escape from one’s own reality, you realize that a vast majority of our population finds beauty in the escape, in the adventure, and in the pure exhilarating excitement of fantasy. And, this is where Transmedia Storytelling and Alternate Reality Games thrive.

What is Transmedia Storytelling
Transmedia storytelling is using multiple of media platforms to tell a narrative across time, each media piece functions acts as a standalone story experience, for example; Novels, video games, mobile apps and films. Each of the media platforms contribute to a larger narrative. Each piece adds richness and detail to the storytelling such as character backstories and secondary plot-lines.
The audience becomes active involved, elevated to social and creative collaborators. Currently in Transmedia there is an on going trend called the (ARGs) Alternative Reality games, where participants engage with narrative elements and characters using real world locations as part of the storytelling.
