“Yes, no costume at all,” PJ replied, “We are literally giant lab mice. What isn’t wrong with it?” He asked. He raised a brow, “No, I won’t,” He said, “Because you’ll get upset if I do and I don’t like doing that.”

"It’s funny and it’s creative. People think too much about those stupid costumes so something simple is more noticeable,” Nate rolled his eyes. “You don’t like it though. So what’s the point of not enjoying yourself?”

“We do not look amazing,” PJ shot back, “Please for the love of god, do not explain the internet to me because I don’t want to know what your answer is,” He replied, “Why do we have to wear these now anyway? Couldn’t we have just put them on later or something?”

"And what is so wrong with this costume, huh? Did you have a better idea?” Nate huffed, looking unimpressed. “If you’re going to complain all evening and be miserable, then just take it off,” he added quietly. He felt and looked upset, but he didn’t want to force PJ and didn’t want to ruin his night.

“Obviously not because it would look ridiculous. We look ridiculous,” PJ complained, “Where did you even find these?”

“We look amazing,” Nate said firmly. “You just love to complain because you dislike a lot of things,” he added, shrugging. “Do I truly need to explain to you the wonders of the internet?”

“You are never picking my Halloween costume again, I hope you know that,” PJ said after pulling off the head of his outfit so he could speak, see and breath properly. It was hot under there, “Why exactly did you want to be these mice again?”

"Come on, I think this is original and hilarious. Have you seen anyone else dressed up as Pinky and the Brain? No. I bet we’re going to win something,” Nate replied, grinning madly at his friend when he managed to take off the head of his costume. 

“Seriously? Why would he do that?” Daniel groaned. He truly didn’t need any additional work and he also didn’t want to upset anyone in case they only came in for that one reason.

"Maybe he’s your nemesis? Are you aware you have one?” Nate raised an eyebrow at the other, smirking to himself.

Emilia pulled out a puppy dog eyes. “Can you please help me clean this up?”

"Manual labour? I don’t remember when was the last time I had to do something,” he sighed theatrically. “What will I get for it?”

“Have you ever thought about trying to be less messy?” she wondered curiously.

"Only when I’m at home and my mother threatens to lock me in the dungeon,” he replied smoothly as if it was a completely normal thing to have dungeons at your home.

“I know but I’m just reminding you I guess,” she replied simply. “Well that still leaves room for potential disaster,” Marisol couldn’t help but tease with a grin.

"I know that’s my second name but you don’t have to call me out,” he stuck his tongue at Marisol.

“If I was going to get help, it would be from someone I trust and know is competent,” Miles said, “Not that I’m saying you’re incompetent but I don’t know you so you could be. Don’t like that risk.”

Nate narrowed his eyes, not pleased by the other’s comment. He was capable of doing anything he put his mind to it. “Perhaps you should watch what’s coming out of your mouth. No one wants to cooperate with a dick,” he huffed.

“It’s not just a plant. I planted these here. They’re very special to me,” Naomi said, “And I work very hard with the others who help put this together so to see someone completely disregard the organisation, is a little frustrating. I’m not going to apologise for being annoyed.”

"That’s really what you get for planting anything in a public space. Anyone can to anything to them and there’s no much you can do unless you don’t leave this place even for a moment,” Nate shrugged in response.

“Nobody puts ketchup on seaweed, that is gross,” PJ said, shaking his head and laughing, “Okay, whatever. Sounds good to me,” He probably wouldn’t pay that much attention to the actual movie anyway.

"Or maybe you’re simply not adventurous enough to try,” Nate pointed out. “Fantastic. Angelina looking fine, Brad looking fine, what more can a person want?” He grinned, moving to find the movie.

“You really think I would poison my own cousin?” Emilia asked with a chuckle and a raise of her eyebrows.

"Maybe not intentionally, but I am not going to risk it. I am too pretty to die so young.”

“Did any part of me speaking insinuate that I wanted your help?” Miles asked with just a hint of sarcasm.

"I preferred to make it clear from the very beginning. In case you suddenly thought it was a good idea,” Nate explained, shrugging.

“Listen I know you’ve been talking this whole time but I explicitly avoided listening to anything you actually said. I have to be honest I’m shocked you haven’t realized and just walked away,” Marc offered to the person sitting beside her. “If you are so determined how about you try again but maybe use a shorter version.”

"A shorter version?” Nate huffed, narrowing his eyes at the other. “And here I was pouring my heart out and sharing this unbelievably moving story, and you didn’t even listen? That’s just cruel,” he commented.

“What? Where did you hear that? I’m afraid there’s not sale going on at the moment, but we will surely put some posters up if something like this happens,” Daniel said quickly when the other asked about the potential sale at his records store.

"You may want to keep an eye out then. I’m pretty sure I was not the only person who heard some guy saying you’re giving records away for practically nothing,” Nate said with a shrug. 

“That’s a load of bullshit,” she replied swiftly. Perrie was too conceited to believe that nobody had mentioned her. “To be fair, I think you seem a little full of yourself, but hopefully you have more redeeming qualities.”

“I have no reason to lie. But feel free to ask around if you don’t believe me,” Nate shrugged in reply. “Pot, Kettle, Black,” he snorted.
