cool, you are assuming a lot of wrong stuff about me and my knowledge. lets go over this:
dude the news article literally says SIX people got it, all over 50. do you know how the vaccine works? a 95% success rate doesn’t mean you have a 5% chance of catching the virus after gaining immunity, it means that people as a whole have a 5% chance of not gaining immunity. especially in people over 50 whose immune responses are weakened, this makes sense. when you put 6 people out of 92 in attendance that’s about 6.5% - which is damn close to what the statistics said would happen. and even then, they survived with no complications - again, exactly what the statistics said would happen.
i wasn't talking about this, but i understand that it was a small amount of people there that were affected, and if it correlates to the statistics thats great. are you just bringing it up to undermine the warning that fully vaccinated people are not fully protected against all types of covid, let alone my unvaccinated coworkers who would probably die from any strain of covid brought into the store by customers wanting to buy 15% shoes and activewear?
no, it’s not killing vaccinated people and the recommendation has ALWAYS been that non vaccinated people wear masks to prevent infection.
article literally said it killed someone who was vaccinated with covaxin (which apparently has had trouble), but yeah, it also said the vaccine helped the other ones not die. thats great. i like that. you understand i like that right? i definitely want people to get vaccinated. do you think im an antivaxxer? i literally have moderna antibodies floating around in my system. my personal text post implies i dont like that unvaccinated people come into spaces with vulnerable populations.
PLUS the cdc literally are the ones whose research and data i read saying that FULLY VACCINATED people no longer need to mask up - unless you missed that whole thing when you said the cdc is wrong and you hate people who follow their guidelines.
okay, i see where you're going batshit with reading too into my personal tumblr text post. i never said or implied anything like this. "[I wanna] kill the ones that have no mask" means i dont appreciate people, especially unvaccinated ones but also vaccinated ones, walking in without a mask. i cant tell who's who, no one can. its clear the CDC guidelines had the affect that unvaccinated people feel much more confident walking around with no protection. literally everyone else understood what i meant here...
also worth noting that people need to get groceries. people aren’t going to just starve in their houses because you don’t understand how the vaccine works. saying that anyone who walks into your store is an awful person just for being there is ridiculous!
i work at a nonessential business. read: not a grocery store. im not telling you where i work because thats good digital information hygiene, but i do not work at an essential business. we were even closed for a while because we were so nonessential. one more time: i am speaking from the perspective of someone working at a nonessential business who has unvaccinated coworkers and is angry that even with variants spreading customers still choose to come in without a mask KNOWING i cant possibly tell them to fuck off because being vaccinated doesnt give you a special vaccination aura. i am not speaking on behalf of all workers at all stores in america through the power of the tumblr text post. it should be clear from above you are completely missing the target with your shots here. again, assuming, overinterpreting, putting words into my mouth, strawmanning, whatever you wanna call it. thanks for assuming so much about me! you did a bad job.
are they awful people for walking into my store? i dont know each of my customers well enough to decide that, but i definitely don't want them there because i dont know them well enough to decide that. you understand the difference between those two views right? you understand an antivaxxer would not say "dont come into my fucking store to aimlessly shop around for unnecessary shit because you are potentially endangering people"?
