“Oh, geez, thanks so much. You’re a life saver. That’s probably the millionth time I’ve lost it this week. I owe you big time.”

“Don’t worry about it. Happens to the best of us. I’ve probably lost my keys more times then I can count.”

        “I know where she is, just need a protection spell — the best you’ve got.”

“And yet you’re still talking to me. We don’t always need magic to save the ones we care for. But fine.”

“Good – that would just piss me off.”

“Pretty sure me walking away in this situation would be the best thing.”

      “They do — you’d be surprised how many people want just that, to be heard, doesn’t matter by who. You Nash, you help people and you don’t even know it.” She replied, growing fonder of the blue eyed male in that very moment. “Speaking of, I know Christmas is coming faster than I’d hoped for, which is why I want to invite you to have it with my family and I; I mean, you’re family too so why not make it official? And before you say anything you don’t have to say yes, nor give me an answer right now if you so wish, I get it if you have other places to be, just thought I’d put it out there.” She mused, cheeks flushing a slight scarlet despite the ever present grin his presence evoked from her., that plastered her features. “Perhaps you’re both lucky.” Eleanor beamed, biting down on her lip to suppress the smile that failed to leave her lips as his caught hers in a lingering kiss. Instinctively her arms wrapped around his neck, hands intertwining at the base of his neck in an effort to pull him closer than physically possible. As he drew back, a breathy chuckle escaped her throat and too followed suit as her hands slipped down to his shoulders. “Something tells me she’d be lost without you around. And that you should probably be taking it easy given the night you’ve had..”

“Again--I won’t argue but you might be giving me a little too much credit over there.” Nash replied, teasing slightly as he wore a smile still. A subtle one but it was usual for the male. Soft spoken and all. At least for the most part anyways. His brows scrunched up, not minding the invitation but given her family and the past, Nash was skeptical but he still smiled. “So, you wouldn’t mind if I said no huh?” A joke seemed to escape the man’s lips but his eyes told an entirely different reaction. Thankful. “I’d love to. But are you sure? I mean that’s kind of a big thing, are you ready for your parents to know---whatever we are? I’m fine with it. I just want to make sure this is what you really want.” He stated not long after. Trying to cover all grounds and to be supportive with no pressure over to the blonde. “Yes. Both lucky.” Quickly agreeing, as he looked at the blonde as he always did. Like she was the only thing in the room that mattered as his arms wrapped comfortingly around her smaller frame. “Guess it’s a good thing I’m a pretty decent listener then.” This time a smallish grin forming.

            “I know — don’t hold it against you either. Two weeks ago.”

“Do you happen to have anything of hers---gonna work better. But you know that I’m sure already.”

Jasmine immediately noticed the concern in Nash’s voice. As he pulled back she looked up at him, blue hues piercing the male as she nodded gently. “I’m fine Nash. It’s just…..i’ve had a lot of work to do and i’ve been quite anti-social lately so…its the end of the semester, you know. Teachers get extra work to do,” shrugging her shoulders, Jasmine pressed her lips into a fine lip letting out a heavy sigh. “Can I come in, and stay with you for a bit?” She asked, her arms dropping down, her hand against against his warm ones.

He nodded along, just getting the feeling that she was needing a distraction. Nash was a good friend, a good guy so who was he to send her away. “Of course. Are your hungry---I probably should eat something. I can order something and we can share if you’re cool with that?” The man asked before stepping to the side so she could come further into his apartment.

“Suppose it is the best way to proceed. Fortunately, I’ve never been one for late night explorations.”

“Well, in that case---you lucked out then.”

“I mean, it kind of – helps. But it’s also kind of terrifying, to know that we’re practically surrounded by wild animals that have already attacked people.”

“Probably your best bet to just walk during the day. No late night exploring, nothing wrong with being too cautious.”

         “A friend of mine is missing. I tracked her to a location but then all my magic is blocked and I need her back, Nash.”

“You do realize I’m not gonna always agree right? So I guess we better make this count. When’s the last time you saw her?”
